The only thing I care about is, does Mel Gibson stay true to the Bible? If he does that, and doesn't "catholicize" the story of Jesus (e.g., deifying Mary), I will be happy.

By absolutely no means does Catholicism deify Mary, and to suggest otherwise is an insult to Catholics. I know you intended no insult, but you need to be more careful in religious discussions.
