This is what makes America great!
He's selling them for 24.95 and donating 2 dollars.
If he reaches his goal of selling a million of them, he should rake in a cool 12 million in profit for himself (figuring that his costs are roughly half of the selling price).
PT Barnum, anyone?
Sorry to be so cynical so early on Monday AM.

Yes 24.95 seems a bit steep. Is it made of cardboard?

I don't have a problem with free enterprise. If you don't want to buy his sign, make your own.

Be cynical all you want, but don't forget that in this country we're free to sell things for a profit. You remember the free enterprise system, don't you?

Gee - why is it no one is supposed to profit from their ideas?
Would you be happy if it cost him $100,000 to do this?
What about the expense of supplies? What about printing charges? What about shipment charges? What about the cost of the excess inventory? His effort is worth nothing unless he pays? The $2 is probably his profit off of these.
Someone always expects people to do things free gratis.

Oh, and you forgot to deduct the cost of making the signs and the materials for the signs when figuring his profit.

Argh, disregard my second post to you. Of course you factored in his cost.

Well, if you object to his making a cool fortune, then make your own sign.

My thoughts exactly. I am going to sell my own signs too. I could use $12 million for doing a "good" thing.
The first line that grabbed me when I read this post was "goal of selling 100,000 signs". Sort of says it all.

Sorry to be so cynical so early on Monday AM. That's OK - don't worry about it - we all take that road every once in awhile. I did buy the SUPPORT OUR TROOPS sign from Grassfire some months ago. If I remember correctly, that was $12.95 plus postage. It's all worth it - how many chances do we get to "stick" it to the ACLU!
