Truly there's no bias toward FNC. Tell me it isn't so.

I've heard that according to the Constitution, the people voting is not necessary. That the Electoral College is selected by the State's Governors. And .. that's all that's really needed to elect a President.

I haven't checked this out - but if anybody has - what say you ..??

Article II, Section 1

"Each state shall appoint, in such manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a number of electors..."

I read this to mean that the manner in which electors are chosen is entirely up to the individual states. They're not required by the Constitution to be chosen by popular vote.

The more times I read the Constitution, the more I'm impressed by how much the founding fathers must have known about the dangers of democracy, and how many safeguards against democracy they built into the Constitution. It's too bad people have completely forgotten their original intent, and now go around talking about how America's so great because of democracy.

But dyspeptic Democrats don't launch their tirades solely at the college. They continue to spew the twin lies that President Bush "stole" the Florida election or was anointed by a conservative Supreme Court. A review of the facts debunks both.

Faacts? Wee don need no stinking faacts!!!

The only reason this became an issue was because one "man" didn't have the decency as other presidential hopefuls did in the past to concede the race. Mr. Gore started out to do the right thing but when called by a desparate party hopeful that maybe "something" could be swung in Florida, his phone call to President Bush was one of smugness and akin to his gradeschool antics he told G.W. Bush "not to get snippy with him".

They dragged our nation through the mud, shamed our election system and convinced people eager to gulp in such news that their vote had been "stolen" and civil rights abused. The Democratic Party has no shame and from the looks of it continues on in their destructive course hoping to drag America down with them.
