The gutter is where Tom has put his own career.

Thank God we found out what a ego driven loser he was before he could gain any meaningful power.

At least now he sunk his career and his potential damage will be limited.

You gonna answer my question about those whose conscience would be violated by a vote for a pro-abort?

If Arnold doesn't win on Oct. 7, it'll be because he wasn't a good enough candidate. No matter how many candidates there are, if you didn't get the most votes - you weren't able to get enough people to believe that you were the best candidate. It happened to George the First in '92. (This assumes the absence of enough fraudulent votes to givea winning margin).

Yes, and it is the remaining 3 years and 3 months.

The replacement winner, assuming Davis is recalled, will be eligible for only 1 more elective term, save a change in the State Constitution.

he is a traitor to the Republican party no matter how Conservative you think he is.

He is a conservative loser, spoiler with unrealistic visions of grandeur.

He deserves nothing from the Republican party anymore.

He has become a nightmare to the people of California and must be worked against to EVER gain another office in politics.

Look for a switch to the Libertarians after this for Tom out of desperation.

Attempting to have civil discourse with them

If I have not been civil or have been insulting please point it out.

I have not insulted Schwarzenegger personally nor have I insulted anyone here supporting him (I was the first to write a post here about the need to support him or whomever the front runner tuyrned out to be so I understand the mistake people are making. I made it myself earlier).

Realize now that events allow the dem playbook to have finally taken shape and the election is now to be couched as Davis vs Schwarzenegger.

The dems have successfully marginalized Bustamante and have the ball.

Absolutly not. I understand the moral issues with that and respect them.

The gutter is where Tom has put his own career.

Tom has behaved with remarkable grace under the most fierce pressure imaginable...and he has done it in defense of conservative Republican principles.

Comments like yours that I commented on, though, drag us all down into the gutter.

Thank you. You just confirmed for me what I learned about you the other night--that you too are 'one of the good guys'.

Tom has been an absolute hole.

Fierce pressure to do the right thing and get out of the race as he promised Issa he would. He lied.

Tom is the lowest of the low and we can't use him in any conservative/Republican cause or office anymore. He has been proved to betray any trust he has once had.

"Why not just secede from the U.S.?"

Secession is not legal, but I sure don't want to turn this into a civil war thread ... I'm talking about the 1861 to 1865 civil war! ;^)

Your boy is ahead, even with Tom in the race. Why don't you just shut up?

If the McClintock voters stay home out of disgust at tactics like yours, Davis will not be recalled.

At this point in this race, nasty rhetoric out of you all does more to threaten the success of the recall than any other thing.

Thanks. But let me say something here. I know that the "pro-choice" crowd are fond of saying "I am personally against abortion..BUT". However I have thought about where I stand and I am "Pro-life...BUT." I have 6 children 2 of which are daughters and a wife of 30 years. If a doctor I trusted said to me that if my wife or one of my girls would die if she didn't have an abortion, and they could not speak for themselves, it would be no contest. I would look at it as a matter of self-defense and would have no moral dilemma doing so.

What if it were, say Rudy Giuliani against Hitlery!

Giuliani, of course.

Last time I did not vote for the Major republican candidate was 1992 and I did not vote for the senate candidate Michael Huffington (I did not vote for his dem opponenet either). 11 years later I cannot vote for Schwarzenegger. I am not a purist no rone of the California "paleo-Conservatives" or extremists who do cause good candidates to lose at times. Schwarzenegger's candidacy is that bad an idea.

I was right in 1992. I am right in 2003.

Because Tom showed us the ugliness of his soul in this race and we have to make sure he doesn't even get a chance at even dog catcher next election.

If the fervent Tombots can't find a way to enter the real world, we need them as much as a hole in the head.

I don't disagree with that in the least. That is my position as well--in addition to being National Right to Life's position.

I didn't say that YOU, per se, were uncivil; however, many of those supporting Tom have been. They started it and have been whinging about the Arnold supporters, who decided to give back in kind.

I doubt that the " DEM PLAYBOOK ", whatever you imagine that to be, is what has made this an Arnold V. Cruz election. The populace of California, has done that. And yes, THAT is really what the election has boiled down tom for far too many reasons, than I care to waste the time over, typing out in full.
