The recall is clearly a plot by Karl Rove to take the heat off of Bush by the "true conservative WHINOs" and place it on Arnold for two months.
Seriously, your analysis was awesome.

I wouldn't go THAT far. LOL
Yes, they are " my way or the highway " types, which is what "dog in the manger " refers to. Read Aesop ... his tales never pale, nor grow stale.
Unfortunately, for some, they only imagine that they are Conservatives and know/understand politics; neither is true or factual. Delusion is their comfort, but it won't ever " save " them.

Fred Barnes has been calling Tom a Libertarian , for at least a month and NOT as something " good ".
You're probably correct, in your assumptions and just WHERE is that going to leave his " true believers " ? ROTFLMSO
To: My2Cents
Thanks and you're a hoot! You really DO understand. :-)
To: nopardons
Tom is a 'l'ibertarian, not a 'L'ibertarian

Same difference, as far as I'm concerned and I don't like either of those cadres. Neither are those people Conservatives at all !
To: nopardons
The 1/3rd who refuse to switch to Arnold before the election lack common sense, perhaps a few brain cells and are what is wrong with California.
If they all disappeared, it could obviously help the state.
They have been informed and still get the election wrong.
They are pathetic and nobody cares what they say or think any more.

You quotes someone as writing: "Schwarzenegger could implode tomorrow, and I'd vote for Gary Coleman over McClintock in a heartbeat. McClintock's supporters have convinced me of that much."
Okay, and how does this translate into someone who would vote for Busty or Maxine Waters over McCLintock??
Are you equating Gary Coleman with Busty and Waters?

To: ambrose
Yes that is as bad as those who have said Cruz would be better than AS.
To: My2Cents
Thanks. I have been around a while but haven't been to active the last few months.

you wrote: One longtime Freeper even said that he (she?) would even vote for Maxine Waters over McClintock. IF that is true, and I haven't seen such a post, that would be as much a travesty as saying that Bustamante is preferable to Arnold. PLEASE give us a link, so we can see it in printTo: Repulse Are you going to kill it in the conservatory with the candlestick? LOL!! No... But I'll give campaign contributions who whomever is running against him. And I don't care if it's Maxine Watters. What goes around, comes around.

There are, unfortunately, some here, who will NEVER understand politics, reality, nor how to compose a debate. Attempting to have civil discourse with them, is an utter waste of time. The ALL or NOTHING/ MORE CONSERVATIVE THAN THOU crowd, wouldn't be missed anywhere ! LOL
To: smoothsailing
Best regards, Smooth. And here's to W. winning in PA next year.

Or perhaps their position is one of conscience.
Have you become so enamored of winning, that if people refuse to violate their conscience, they are scum to you?
Very sad, man.

So quit acting so high and mighty.
