I'd love to see a Cubs/Red Sox World Series!

I'm not a big sports fan, but I would really enjoy it if the Cubs beat those arrogant b*stards from Atlanta like a drum.

I doubt it. My prediction? This is as far as they get this season.

"I'd love to see a Cubs/Red Sox World Series!"I would too! But I think that would be the final sign of the end of the world. I think I read that in the Book of Revelation somewhere:-)

This is as far as they get this season. Ditto. Take a look at the records for both Central Divisions. Weakest of all. I'm a Cardinal/Royal MO boy and I was hoping against hope for either to win their division, but the east and west are gonna kill anybody from the central. I hope I'm wrong, I'm sick of the Braves and the Yankees and the Giants. World series? I default to the National league, 'cause they don't cheat by letting the pitcher sit out his batting assignment. Go NL!
To: GeekDejure
What a lineup. Every position except for two above 800 in OPS- and those two are damn close. Two players above 1000 in OPS.
A starting pitcher with an OPS above 700. Another with an OPS above 600.
The Cubs pitching is good. But that lineup is obscene.

Anyone know if the Weather Channel has a reporting station for Hell? I'd like to see the temp bout now. :)

So what time does the astroid hit the earth and kill us all? I would like to start my party now. Thank you.

I'm a Yankee fan, but if they get eliminated early - I'm all Cubbies! I'm right with you on both counts. It must sound weird to other people, us rooting for teams with polar opposite results in the past 94 years, but my ex-wife made me a Cub fan. I was born a Yankee fan. Even at a very young age, I wore a Yankee cap. The funny thing about all this is that I've never been to a MLB game in person. My father wasn't into that. But watching it on TV is good, too. I listen to games over the Internet sometimes, too.

Although I'm a fan, I have a problem with their choice of the singers of the national anthem, very inappropriate IMHO.
