Why must conservatives always compromise their principles? It makes better sense for bend-with-the-wind, middle-of-the-road moderates to compromise and go with the conservatives who stake their positions guided by a strong moral compass. It takes an amazing amount of ego and narcissism for (R)nold to think he deserves to run California. He should do one for the team and use his celebrity to campaign for McClintock, but he won't because that isn't his role. His role is to block a real conservative and protect liberalism in Cali. Way to be manipulated, stooges Arnold supporters.

BINGO! Thank you. The "moderates" and other anti-Tom freepers say they're not supporting him because he "can't win" but the truth is THEY DON'T WANT HIM TO WIN -- THEY DON'T WANT A CONSERVATIVE IN THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE. Remember, these folks didn't want Reagan, either. It was only after he got the nomination and was elected that the moderates started pretending they liked him.
