Pedestrian killed on U.S. 69 in Overland Park

An unidentified woman died early today when she was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on U.S. 69 near College Boulevard.

The woman was walking in the roadway shortly before 4 a.m. when she was hit, the Overland Park Police Department said.

The highway was closed for several hours. Police are investigating.
