I believe that the cermaic brings inherent lubricity qualities that preclude the carbon build up and yet give nothing for foreign material like dirt, sand and other Oh Shit goop to adhere too that causes "most" weapons malfunctions. Dry lubes aside and the best of the best panther piss POL product that Uncle Sugars wizz team can come up with can't beat such a built in feature.
