[history]
Two busloads of activists on a cross-country tour to highlight the plight of undocumented farmworkers were stopped by the U.S. Border Patrol in El Paso Friday morning.
After four hours of detention and questioning, all the riders were released and were back on the road to San Antonio, a group spokesperson said.

The stop was not unanticipated by the activists: they had formed and rehearsed a plan to carry out a vow of silence if detained, as a way to protect the few who were in the United States illegally
Isn't this a premeditated criminal conspiracy?

What??!! Sounds like the U.S. Border Patrol in El Paso needs to be replaced.

"What??!! Sounds like the U.S. Border Patrol in El Paso needs to be replaced. And a whole lot of illegal-alien supporting, POS politicians also. When our own government ceases to police and enforce our laws it's time for those in office who let this sort of thing happen, to be removed from office.

After the Oklahoma City bombing, they found Timothy McVey in a jail. He was arrested for some minor thing (no license plate?) but was still in jail because he didn't have a driver's license on him.
Real bummer for McVey that he was here legally and wasn't Mexican.

Normally you would think it would take 13 border patrol agents to arrest illegals but in this case it took 13 to LET THEM GO!There is no way this government is serious about protecting our borders or the American people.
To: Afronaut
Good question, the guys and gals that I know wouldn't have just let the illegals go.
There's probably more to the story than we're getting...

What can we do about this? I am tired of writing my congressman and senators and getting no results. What did the colonials do when the King of England refused to listen to their demands?
To: VU4G10
they had formed and rehearsed a plan to carry out a vow of silence if detained, as a way to protect the few who were in the United States illegally. The "few?" Yeah, right. Try almost all of them.

There had better be more to this story than we are getting. I would have deported every damn one of them UNLESS they could PROVE CITIZENSHIP!

Well of course they let them go, otherwise there won't be any illegals to vote RAT.
