Yeah - let me be the first to "thank" Tom.... way to go, and take one for the team (sarcasm)

What a putz. We finally have a chance and our egos get in the way..... I hate it when we act like democrats.

Endorsements are nice, but are ultimately appeals to authority.

Simon and Issa never had a prayer at getting my vote when they were in the race... why would I let them direct my vote now?

Let me guess, they were both soft on the immigration issue?

It's time to say it.....

McClintock is a RINO!

Up to now, it's been Tom and principle, Tom and his issues, Tom and "real" conservatism, and so forth. Now, with the endorsements swinging significantly in Arnold's direction, Tom's campaign is "All About Tom." He's showing that he's not interested in the interests of the Party; he's interested in Tom. He's not a team player; he's just plain Tom, and it's all about him. This close to the election, the focus should be the interest of the Republican Party. Tom apparently isn't interested in the Republican Party, hence, Tom is the "Republican In Name Only."

Yeah. Well, can't say that I am shocked.
I heard him on KSFO this morning. He said that from the very beginning he said he would not drop out. I don't know how he reconciles that stance with what he told Issa in the beginning.

Being called a liberal by a liar is...sad, but a shrugger. Just puts one more lie on your tally.

Remember "The Steadfast Tin Soldier"? He ended up without a leg to stand on.

Since you approve of Arnolds pro-abortion stance, it can only be assumed you are as socially liberal as he is. If you are not, then why are you not endorsing a more conservative candidate?

I voted for Simon last year. He ran a lousy campaign. I moved on.

Issa never should have been in the race at all, since he financed the collection of 900,000 (of 2.1 million) signatures for the recall.

I support the most conservative candidate who can win. That would be, in case you haven't read a thing in four weeks, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Political observers believe the Simon endorsement will be beneficial to Schwarzenegger because it will make him more palatable for conservative voters who would not otherwise vote for him because of his liberal views on many social issues.

On the contrary. It makes Simon completely unpalatable to this conservative. Simon is a complete failure, a loser of the first rank.

Exactly! Some "principled" conservative! Give me a break! I think I will stick with the regular conservative side of the Republican Party!

So let me get this straight...Simon and Issa didn't have a prayer to get your vote because one ran a lousy campaign and the other shouldn't have been in the race because he funded the recall (which relied heavily on grass roots activism and the support of over a million voters)? You have to admit, those are extremely weak reasons to not vote for either one of 'em.
