So Saruman escaped form the Ents and instead
of going to the Shire he went to the Middle East!

Why did they replace Andy Jackson's portrait on the $20 with Christopher Lee's?

Y'know, that resemblance is actually kind of creepy. Accurate, but creepy. Makes me wonder if we're going to see Uruk-Hai strapping on bomb belts and screaming "ALLAHU AKBAR!" in the third LotR movie.

According to his triplet brothers Saruman and Castro, Yassin is the "comedian" of the three.

Interesting factoids about Christopher Lee:
- He has appeared in movies as Dracula; The Mummy; Frankenstein's monster; Sherlock Holmes, his brother Mycroft and Henry Baskerville; Rasputin, Scaramanga (in The Man With The Golden Gun) and Fu Manchu. He has also played a slave dealer, a Sudanese rebel, a gypsy, a bobby, a ghost, a submarine commander, the founder of modern-day Pakistan, and the captain of a Spanish galleon. Of course, he plays Saruman (he was the only member of the cast to have actually met J.R.R. Tolkien, and had spent long hours downing pints with him at his favorite pub in Oxford in the '50s) and Count Dooku in more recent movie appearances.
- He is listed in the Guiness Book of World Records for appearing in the most movies of any actor, nearly 300 to date.
- He fought in the Winter War between Finland and the Soviet union from 1938 to 1940, and became a Flight Lieutenant in the British Royal Air Force, and served on active duty in the RAF until demobilized in 1946.
- In his early career, he did all his own stunts, has suffered numerous injuries, including broken ribs, stab wounds, dislocations and near-drownings. He is an honorary member of three stuntmen's unions.
- As a golfer, he held a zero handicap for several years, and played against such golf legends as Jack Nicklaus.
- Christopher Lee stands 6' 5" tall, and has been rejected for several roles because of his imposing height.
- He appeared on the cover of one of the biggest-selling LPs ever, Wings' Band On The Run.
- Born on May 27, 1922, Christopher Lee is 81 years old, and continues to star in films.

Plus, he re-reads the Tolkien books every year, and has done so for the last 30 years.

Ever since I found out more about him, he's been my favorite actor. When it comes to movies, Christopher Lee is The Man!
