**World Exclusive** Democratic presidential hopeful General Wesley Clark offered lavish praise for the Bush Administration and its key players in a speech to Republicans, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
During extended remarks delivered at the Pulaski County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 11, 2001, General Clark declared: "And I'm very glad we've got the great team in office, men like Colin Powell, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Paul O'Neill - people I know very well - our president George W. Bush. We need them there."
Clark praised Reagan for improving the military:
"We were really helped when President Ronald Reagan came in. I remember non-commissioned officers who were going to retire and they re-enlisted because they believed in President Reagan."

Bush. We need them there."
Clark praised Reagan for improving the military:
"We were really helped when President Ronald Reagan came in. I remember non-commissioned officers who were going to retire and they re-enlisted because they believed in President Reagan."
Clark continued: "That's the kind of President Ronald Reagan was. He helped our country win the Cold War. He put it behind us in a way no one ever believed would be possible. He was truly a great American leader. And those of us in the Armed Forces loved him, respected him, and tremendously admired him for his great leadership."
Clark on President George Bush: "President George Bush had the courage and the vision... and we will always be grateful to President George Bush for that tremendous leadership and statesmanship."
Clark on American military involvement overseas:
"Do you ever ask why it is that these people in these other countries can't solve their own problems without the United States sending its troops over there? And do you ever ask why it is the Europeans, the people that make the Mercedes and the BMW's that got so much money can't put some of that money in their own defense programs and they need us to do their defense for them?"
"And I'll tell you what I've learned from Europe is that are a lot of people out in the world who really, really love and admire the United States. Don't you ever believe it when you hear foreign leaders making nasty comments about us. That's them playing to their domestic politics as they misread it. Because when you talk to the people out there, they love us. They love our values. They love what we stand for in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights."
Impacting...

The sad fact is that Clark is just like Clinton. Both of them have planned their entire lives towards becoming President. Both grew up without fathers, and I have no doubt that BOTH would have chosen which ever party gave them an opportunity to win the Presidency
I dont think that Bill Clinton is a liberal(his wife is)and I dont think Clark is either. Neither are they Conservative. I dont think they have core values at all. I believe that both would have just as easily made their way as Republicans if it meant getting elected. They have their finger in the wind making their decisions for them.

Notice they keep saying "Vote Dem no matter what"?
Some scum bags are trying to get them to not focus on a candidate, per se, but some sort of place-holding Democrat just because they have a "D" on the end of their name. Think about it: If enough Democrats swallow Clark as a viable Democrat, they've succeeded in brain-washing the entire party.
They desperately want to take the emotions and issues out of it and force people to vote for the Dem Candidate, "no matter who it is".
I am convinced this is the Hill strategy, and if enough Dems drink the Kool-Aid, then Hill will know it, jump in, possibly win, but more importantly, kill off the Green party at the same time. For good!
Nothing like making brain-washed party hacks turn off their brain and blindly vote for a party and not a person.
However, Dean is a factor....if enough turn from Dean to Clark, that's it. Dean is on to this - "my supporters are not transferrable".

"I wish someone would get together Clark's denigrating and wrong criticisms of the Iraq war plan he made on CNN's Aaron Brown show during the pause after the dust storm."
Your wish is your command. Go to CNN's website and get a transcript. There, I feel better.

Meanwhile Clark said this today...
NEW YORK (AP) -- Retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark emphatically presented his credentials as a Democrat on Thursday and attacked President Bush in campaign debate as "a man who recklessly cut taxes, who recklessly took us into war in Iraq."

Come on now, he might actually draw a few Bush supporters from these comments.
But it's good bye to the Bush-hating Democratic base.
Clark's finished.

Especially the part about the European governments. That really is the most damning thing, since now he's pandering to the ignorati about Bush's "unilateralism" and how we need to submerge ourselves to "International" institutions.

Also from today's debate:
In a further slap at Bush's Iraq policy, the former supreme NATO commander said the United States should "engage with allies, be a good player in the international community, should use force only as a last resort."

How come Drudge is the only journalist pointing things like this out? All someone needs is Lexis and the ability to do a few searches - and voila - hypocrisy machine!

Wow, because of these comments by General Clark, I (until now a Bush supporter), feel strangely drawn towards him.
NOT!
