Actually, this would be pretty funny if they were targeting adults...

Thanks for the post. In the arena of victimless crimes, I think that this is how the free market can and should (and is) police itself, rather than relying on government intervention. People like yourself can effectively maintain the moral high ground, when you preach morality, by condemning the sale of crud, and practice morality, by not taking the easy wrong - meaning that you are not resorting to using the coercive force of government for your desired ends. Kudos to you.

I haven't liked Target since Chip Ganassi fired Eddie Cheever.

Will you join me by making an extra effort in contacting the Target corporation by taking action?Sorry, but I have a life.

A 'Whoops' for Target
From the Los Angeles Times
Target pulls apparel on neo-Nazi allegation
By Leslie Earnest
Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
August 29, 2002
Target Corp. pulled clothing bearing "88" and "Eight Eight" from its shelves this week after complaints that the words and numbers are code for "Heil Hitler" among neo-Nazis.

Nobody would have even paid much attention to this FCUK company.
It would have just gone away eventually, like most fads do.
But hey, now that the American Family Assoc. is making such a big stink,
every kid around is gonna want to buy this stuff - what could be cooler?

So how many of you would have even known this product exists if it were in oh say.. Spencer Gifts and not Target? I mean, those protesting this wouldn't dare step foot in a store like Spencer's right? Therefore, how could you boycott then if you weren't aware of it?
To: truthandlife
Would you believe Target has approved its Marshall Field's stores to sell a product called FCUK?
Don gets hysterical again.

Send your notes of displeasure to Senator Mark Dayton, D-Minnesota, as well.
His family owns Target/Marshall Fields/etc.
How about Kohl's? Do they sell this stuff? Call Senator Herb Kohl, D-Wisconsin.
SSDD.

By golly, the rot has spread even to UNIX!
fsck
file system check. The Unix program that checks a file system for internal consistency and bad blocks etc. and can repair some faults.
fsck is often used after a crash when the file system has been left in an inconsistent state, e.g. due to incomplete flushing of buffers.

I hate to admit it, but I agree with you. My local Target store is definitely NOT the local hotbed of human decency.

"You can smell like FCUK."
Doesn't seem like a very effective ad campaign to me.

Of course, we here at FR are ahead of the curve. There was a thread about FCUK and particularly their new fragrances "FCUK HER" and "FCUK HIM" several weeks ago.
Just damn.
If you want on the new list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
[As i mentioned, the B/C & JD! lists are going to float into and out of whack over the forseeable future, while I try to cobble a rig back together for myself. My apologies for any incovenience or misunderstandings in this time frame. New signups/removals may be flaky in this time-frame as well; please bear with me, and keep in mind you may have to FReepmail me more than once for me to get it done. Thanks again!]

Ent my message telling them if the add campaign continues, I will turn in my Target Visa, and find other suitable places for me to spend a great deal of my money!

obvious grab at the mind to be misspelled as one of the vilest slang words ever used
Words cannot hurt you.
Puritanical holy-rollerism is far more harmful.
Oh, wait.. it's for the childrun who can be oh-so-easily corrupted by one of the vilest slang words ever used.
Maybe yours can, but not mine.
