The word "failure" must now always be accompanied by the word "miserable" when referring to President Bush.

**World Exclusive**

Democratic presidential hopeful General Wesley Clark offered lavish praise for the Bush Administration and its key players in a speech to Republicans, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

During extended remarks delivered at the Pulaski County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 11, 2001, General Clark declared: "And I'm very glad we've got the great team in office, men like Colin Powell, Don Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Paul O'Neill - people I know very well - our president George W. Bush. We need them there."

Clark praised Reagan for improving the military:

"We were really helped when President Ronald Reagan came in. I remember non-commissioned officers who were going to retire and they re-enlisted because they believed in President Reagan."

Clark continued: "That's the kind of President Ronald Reagan was. He helped our country win the Cold War. He put it behind us in a way no one ever believed would be possible. He was truly a great American leader. And those of us in the Armed Forces loved him, respected him, and tremendously admired him for his great leadership."

Clark on President George Bush: "President George Bush had the courage and the vision... and we will always be grateful to President George Bush for that tremendous leadership and statesmanship."

Clark on American military involvement overseas:

"Do you ever ask why it is that these people in these other countries can't solve their own problems without the United States sending its troops over there? And do you ever ask why it is the Europeans, the people that make the Mercedes and the BMW's that got so much money can't put some of that money in their own defense programs and they need us to do their defense for them?"

"And I'll tell you what I've learned from Europe is that are a lot of people out in the world who really, really love and admire the United States. Don't you ever believe it when you hear foreign leaders making nasty comments about us. That's them playing to their domestic politics as they misread it. Because when you talk to the people out there, they love us. They love our values. They love what we stand for in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights."

Impacting...

I just noticed that Wesley's been working for Stephens, Inc. since he retired. Ring any bells?

The pubbies MUST fight back. NOW. Before the lies become embedded in people's minds, and may be difficult to re-program.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark emphatically presented his credentials as a Democrat on Thursday and attacked President Bush in campaign debate as "a man who recklessly cut taxes, who recklessly took us into war in Iraq."

Again Sharpton makes more good sense than any of these bozos.

That may be the scariest thing about this whole fiasco.

I'd like to see them out there the way they were when they fought back against Ted Kennedy's ugly comments. Now they have gone back into their shells. I hope this is "strategery" but I'd love to see the Pubbies fighting back like the RATS do.

"Rich" depends on their formula of how low can they go without losing too many votes.

"Rich" is anyone who makes more and/or has accumulated more than they have. Or at least that's so according to some leftists at my old job. < snicker>

These people are SCARY, and I'm hopping mad!

None of these commies must EVER get near the Oval Office.

All I've heard:

Control, control, control...
Tax, tax, tax...
Spend, spend, spend. . .
Crade to grave, cradle to grave, cradle to grave...

It's sick.

Franklin Roosevelt famously said:
"Well, if we set prices higher, companies will make more money on their sales, and workers can be paid higher wages"

Scary.

I share the frustration over what sometimes seems a lack of fight. In the months ahead, however, if Iraq and the economy are moving in the right direction, we will look back on these days as nothing more than 10 candidates preparing for a political execution by digging their own graves.

Clark will just say those comments were before Iraq. He will be able to claim his patriotism as well as feed on the anti-Iraq sentiment.

Exactly.

It will be harder for him, though, to play the Europe card and claim Bush should have gotten "allies."

You're wishing. This thing will be very close under any circumstances. Any Democrat will win at least 26 states. The red/blue divide is still very strong.

What the hell is a "licensed investment banker"? Is that a fancy way of saying that General Confusion has (or had) his Series 7 -- a Stockbroker License?

There is nothing Clark will be able to defend to the Democrat base regarding his support and praise for Reagan. There is no way he can explain his way out of that, unless the Democrats are even dumber than I thought.

Tending Sheila Jackson-Lee's flag no doubt. ;-) WOW! You are quick on your feet! LOL Isn't she the one who, while discussing MARS and the fact that it's visible to the naked eye, asked the photographer to take a picture of the spot where we placed the US flag (on Mars!)

reminds me that last Friday interim governor Joe Davis (Clod-Sacramento) mentioned that California is a diverse state - "PEOPLE FROM EVERY PLANET COME HERE, THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE FROM DIFFERENT PLANETS ON EARTH THAN ANY OTHER STATE"...lolo you know you are lost when the local press didn't even bother to report the goofiest gaffe since Algore - his press aide blamed it on fatigue... lolololo

Yes, as soon as McAwful said it, the rest of the mindless dolts chant it like some sort of mantra.

It must truly suck to be a 'rat these days, hoping for misery -- be it another devastating terrorist attack, body bags aplenty from Iraq and Afghanistan, economic disaster, etc. -- in order to reverse a decade of political decline.
