How can he possibly stand it then to know that almost everyone thinks he is a cold-blooded murderer and deserves death? I wonder.
Maybe he just splits that off from his other side, like most psychopaths (Ted Bundy, etc).

Wish I could remember. Maybe I'll browse through some old threads. I wouldn't think the comment would have come out b/f that week around Jan. 17, b/c that was when the Rochas said their first non-supportive things about Scott (b/c they'd been given real proof that he was having an affair.)

if it could have been in one of the TV interviews that Sharon and Ron participated in I think you're getting warm, there. Sharon, or Ron, or Brent. Remember, Amy seldom said anything outraged-sounding--she usually just sat there looking shellshocked, and like she'd never smile again. And since (seems to me) they were most often interviewed on Larry King, perhaps it was from a Larry King interview.

There it is! Good work, runningbear!
"Sources". Oh, well... someday we'll hear who those "sources" were!

You sure are good at putting your finger on the articles!!

Maybe he'd been faithfully calling her while he was "in Maine" and "in Europe", and maybe suddenly he wasn't calling her as he had been (due to a few trivial matters going on at home.) Maybe she got anxious, picturing him in a jacuzzi surrounded by cheap Frenchwomen.

I wish! They may continue the prelim, but with him safe in jail (assuring that he'll show up for court), I can't imagine their starting what looks to be several days at least, any earlier than planned.
To: Yaelle
I bet he CAN'T stand it! But I bet he was pleasantly surprised to find those sicko women who like to write to men in jail! I think his (imagined) image as Mr. Handsome Stud is probably the most important thing to him!
To: Yaelle
We have been told, or it has at least been strongly suggested, that Amber has gotten specific threats. I imagine each of those threats has spawned an investigation. I mean, I imagine they've got cops running down the source of a threatening phone call, or of a threatening note, etc. Wonder if any of the threats will really lead them to evidence in Laci's murder case.
To: Devil_Anse
Yes. I am sure that even being led to the death chamber, he will be far more interested in the Last Haircut than the Last Meal!

Yeah, I picture some prosecutor standing up during Scott's trial and saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, just look at his telephone records. Look at the times and dates of the calls. Look separately just at the times and dates of the calls to and from Amber Frey. You'll begin to see the story tell itself, just in the telephone calls..."
To: Yaelle
LOL! Yep, that's the real Scott! ("Gotta look good... just before I turn green... wonder if that lethal injection stuff is a good high...")

"'Sources tell Fox News that the 27-year-old woman could have been beaten, hit over the head, strangled or even poisoned.' Geez! I had forgotten how little of substance we really know about this case.
As broad as the quote above is, it is too narrow. As far as can be determined at this point, Laci could have, just as easily, been shot or stabbed in the neck, head or main organs soft tissue. So, we have not eliminated even one cause of homocide as a possibility. Also, the defense experts may not rule out accidental death, saying nature took the body parts. Not that I agree;just objectively surmising.
In fact, a person who is epistemologically savy might say: We know that they are dead;Alsowhere and when we found them: That the Husband was at a location near there four months earlier; the day Laci went missing: That the Husband volunteered that information or we probably would not know that.
We do not *know for sure* where, when or how she died, yet we are going to attempt to place a suspect at an unknown location, at an unknown time, and convince a jury that he/she comitted an unknown criminal act with an unknown weapon.
Another potential problem.IMHO, The autopsy report,IIRC, lists Richmond, CA.(area) as the location of death and LE claims Modesto, CA. is the place of death. Therefor, the DA does not know for sure if the suspect is being prosecuted in the proper jurisdiction, which maybe is,why the DA was not too excited about hunting "Dirty" and "Skeeter" initially. He was afraid of loosing jurisdiction if they killed Laci outside Stanislaus County.IMHO

The first trial, that is!.....;-)

Christmas day was the 1st day Laci's missing flyers were posted. The Rocha/Grantski's families also visited the Covena Ave home.Mags, I have not been able to find the specific thread I referenced, but it stands to reason that the Rocha/Grantski families visited Scott on Christmas day. We all recall that at that time, the family was publicly very loyal to Scott. Here, on Christmas Day, he is supposedly sitting at home alone, with no support, waiting for the phone to ring with news of Laci. It stands to reason that his MIL, et al, would drop by with food and touch base for an update if nothing else.
As for the vacuuming on Christmas day, perhaps it was a later leak, but I do specifically recall one poster joked about "dragging the vacuum cleaner out on Christmas day." Another specific I recall is that we joked about what the Rocha/Grantskis must have thought at the time--that SP was so distraught and had so much nervous energy that he couldn't be still. Maybe my specifics will now jog a memory of someone who commented. I know I posted.
