There's a fairly well-known, well-documented effect here, the so-called "weekend effect" whereby only Dimocrats hang around their telephones on Friday-Saturday-Sunday, the period during which the CNN poll was taken.

Once the 'Pubbies came home, after a refreshing weekend at the shore, or at the mall, or at grandma's house, the Pew poll results were obtained.

Exactly -- and it's reflected in the fact that almost half of their sample consisted of Democrats/Democrat-leaners.
