Freeper Interview Series: Chad Fairbanks
Patriot Paradox
Posted on 09/25/2003 5:02:51 AM PDT by sonsofliberty2000
The latest interview in the Freeper Interview Series is now online at Patriot Paradox. The interview is with Chad Fairbanks, and here are some highlights:
What are some memories you have of protests or other activist events?
Well, there are so many. In my early years I was always on the side that was cracking down on Left-wing protests. In the navy I had lots of encounters with Greenpeace and the Sea Shepherds, so I would say that was the most enjoyable bit of activism I was involved in - if 'activism' is defined as "Using a fire hose on dirty, smelly hippies".
Also, I have really enjoyed being a part of the Puget Sound chapter of Free Republic (Yo! A shout out to my Puget Sound Homies! Word!). I especially enjoyed the Hillary FReep we put together recently, as that also allowed me to get my children involved. They really had fun making signs.
Have any fears or phobias?
I'm afraid of birds. Oh wait, that's Cathryn. Never mind. I have an irrational fear of shoes.
How would you describe yourself?
6' 5", washboard stomach, rippling muscles, long windswept blonde hair, chiseled features, and piercing green eyes - but that would be really inaccurate.

Chad, your interview confirms what I already perceived about you from reading your posts. You're smart and talented, a loving husband and father, an obviously compassioncat person, and you use your great sense of humor effectively. I especially enjoy the imagery created by your "Cross-Border Catapult" and "Liberal Hive-Mind."
Pillars of The Earth is also one of my favorite books. Have you ever read The Haj by Leon Uris? Another great historical novel.

To SOL, I've been waiting for this one!!! Great job again!
To Chad, >>Two beautiful daughters, both in middle school<<
I was talking to Netmilsdad last night and swore you were 20 years old. Are you one of those "Weekly World News" headlines?? You know, "Four Year Old Fathers Twins"
Great Job!

Oh, brother! Glad I live in the country (almost). It's too bad you can't pick your neighbors.

To: netmilsmom
Well, I've always looked young - a blessing, AND a curse sometimes.
And, my philosophy dictates that you are only as old as you feel, so based on that somedays I'm older than you (especially monday mornings)... ;0)

To: DaughterOfAnIwoJimaVet
No. My home was invaded by a military force in their search for WMDs, and they were subsequently destroyed...
And what REALLY ticks me off is, they didn't ask the U.N.'s permission and acted unilateraly...
