Well you don't like ARnold, so you wouldn't like this poll........

If Arnold doesn't win then CRUZ will.......simple as that...
There is no way MCCLINTOCK wins this race now.........

No. For me, the number one priority is seeing that the recall passes. Otherwise, the replacement question is academic.

I disagree with those who say it'd be better to keep Grayout than have Bustamante. If Busty wins, he'll just barely slip by and have high negatives upon taking office. Grayout would turn a victory into some kind of vindication, and become more powerful than we can possibly imagine.

You're just so completely wrong on that. If Davis won, he would stay a pariah and loser until 06, with all of the state's problems continualy hung around his neck. He would have to live with all of the pandering legislation he has been madly signing, and it won't be pretty. This recall has greatly impacted your ability to think clearly. It's time to take a breather and clear your head out.

Will the last person leaving Kalifornia, please turn off the lights. Oh never mind, their already off.

Will the last person leaving Kalifornia bring the flag? Hint: not the Mexican one...

lots of variety here....looks like unfortunately if a validity here, Tom McClintock, should hold out for another week, maybe, then toss the full support to Arnold.... I think Arnold will take him as he stated if he wins, his right hand man, (not exact words).....

A different kind of lively debate yesterday.... (Tom has strong convictions, and so does Arnold. Maybe Tom can teach Arnold to do the right stuff if elected!)

A month ago I made the point that S can "offer" and McC can "accept" the position of Lt.-Gov. with S. Both would then call on B to resign as Lt.-Gov. if he loses the replacement vote. There is, of course, no way for S and McC to force B to resign.

However, the new Gov. S could "assign" B to a new office in one of the stalls of the executive washroom. He could then "assign" to McC all of the duties that would otherwise go to B, as "Special Representative" of the Gov. Then, in all but legal definition McC would be the Lt.-Gov. and B would be wasting away in Bustamante-ville.

If a deal is struck, and one comment by S during last night's debate suggested it might be, this will be the shape of that deal. (I happen to know that this suggestion went into both the S and McC camps, four weeks ago, through a "mutually trusted party.")

Uhh.. Sure, maybe among Republicans. Among Democrats he will be the second comming. Gay groups will hail him as the one who finally broke the Republican stranglehold on their cause. The liberal cause will be strengthened beyond imagination. Whomever Gray Davis endorses for the nomination will win, because Davis beat the recall. If you thought you saw a flood of stupid legislation before, wait until you see what's right around the corner.

Re#29 Kewl--Unity is a good thing. That would be a most wise and neat move. Cruz and the Rats would go nuclear and Arnold would say " I told you I was going to clean house--this is just a start". Here's hoping....

heeheee... sounds like a win-win thingy to me..

The way Arnold said it last night sounded as if he really meant it! Being Tom is staying steadfast into his convictions, I hope if he can't jump up the points scale, that he truely looks at his political future, and do what is best for his future, not anyone's else's, and make that call, either stay in and see what becomes of Ca, or become the partner of the winning ticket side.

I am still holding until the the I vote, in person at my poll place! (Oct 7th is plenty of time to cattle in the masses, either dedicated to Tom, or vote for Arnold, and bring back some logic to Ca) ;o)
