Golden Coral tried this a few years back, and it was a short experiment. A buddy of mine and I managed to eat 9 plates a piece one night. I think it was only $14 then. No way did they even come close to making up their cost.

But then, I was about 20 at the time and had a metabolism that burned off any quantity of food with no problem. Wish I could still say that...

There used to be an very nice all-you-can-eat buffet restraunt in Dallas called the Boston Sea Party. $24.95 got you all you can eat from the buffet which had pretty much everything seafood you can possably imagine, plus a main entree of your choice, lobster tail, whole lobster, or a t-bone steak.
One time 11 of my family went in there for a family celebration. We walked out about 5 hours later stuffed to the gills. About a month later, they closed the doors on that restraunt.
