"In the meantime, we need to encourage another conservative Democrat to run to take votes away from Chris John. Maybe Congressman Alexander from NE LA?"
How could we encourage rat Rodney to run?

If John and either Brazile or Fields are both running, we can have prominent LA Republicans saying "I'm not worried about either of the two, but Rodney Alexander would probably beat both of them in the jungle primary and give us a headache in the run-off." We could also start rumors that Cooksey would run to get his old seat back. If Alexander's head gets filled up with thoughts of being a Senator, he may well jump into the fray. And if Vitter holds 75% of the Republicans (which he surely would), he would advance into the run-off against a black liberal Democrat, since John and Alexander would split the conservative Dem vote. Vitter would then win the general with 60%.
But you're right to question how effective we could be in convincing Alexander to run. It might be worth a shot, though.
