Gen. Schwarzkopf delivered an address yesterday. Is there a transcript available anywhere? Where was the speach?

Ah, Spring Butt Bingo! We played that game when I was in Artillery OBC and we presented a giant spring mounted as a trophy to the biggest spring butt in our class at graduation. The BG who commanded the FAS Brigade and the MG post commander (who showed up because one of his WP classmate's son was in our class) both roared with laughter at the presentation.
In law school, the same game was called "asshole bingo". It was always fun to be sitting in some dull class like secured transactions or administrative law, and hear a loud "Bingo" as an inane question was asked.

Wowsers! This must have legs!

This will doom Clark's chances of any Republican votes. But the Democrats.....oh, they love this kind of stuff. It will only make them support him more.

Interesting, but Shelton distinctly says that Clark was brought out of Europe early due to the character and integrity issues, which means it has something to do with his performance/behavior over there, IMO.

Not sure if you saw these stunning remarks from Retired General H. Hugh Shelton:
"What do you think of General Wesley Clark and would you support him as a presidential candidate," was the question put to him by moderator Dick Henning, assuming that all military men stood in support of each other. General Shelton took a drink of water and Henning said, "I noticed you took a drink on that one!"
"That question makes me wish it were vodka," said Shelton. "I've known Wes for a long time. I will tell you the reason he came out of Europe early had to do with integrity and character issues, things that are very near and dear to my heart. I'm not going to say whether I'm a Republican or a Democrat. I'll just say Wes won't get my vote."

Although that is an excellent further indication of his character, I don't believe that was what General Shelton was talking about. He was home BEFORE he go the medal.
In fact, Clark received the very first of the newly minted medals during his retirement ceremony June 23, 2000, presided over by Army Chief of Staff Gen. Eric Shinseki.

He was probably talking about Kosovo. Clark was going public (to the media) about his disagreement with Sec. of Defense Cohen regarding ground troops. Cohen fired him.

Here is an overview of his speech yesterday. The (local) lib print media conveniently ignored that Hillary Bashing quote from Schwarzkopf yesterday--that had the biggest round of applause outside of his opening and closing standing ovations:

I was thinking he may have put himself in for it months ahead of time. There is usually some lead time for an award like this. That's complete speculation on my part, though.
I did think it was especially greasy of him to make sure he got the first one minted, lol!

amazing! Haven't heard a word about it on FOX, but MSNBC sometimes does have the faster track on stuff.

I made a mistake and put the wrong quote in #13. Funk's quote is in #15. I think it's about Waco.
To: cyncooper
Hannity mentioned this story on his radio show an hour or so ago.
To: aristeides
Great!! I'm glad it is getting mentioned!! The more things about Clark are told.. the more people will KNOW him, the more they KNOW,.. the more they will dislike.
However,..I think perhaps Hitlery is banking on just that!!

Good point:
The fact that he's running as a demonrat is enough for me!
