Let me reiterate -- the entire article is a "must read". I saw him interviewed on FoxNews, he was saying, how when he talked to Iraqis about stopping the war, they said they wanted the war, and some of them said, they would commit suicide if the US doesn't come and free them from Saddam.
Also that when someone was saying to a journalist, how they don't have many things after the war, another Iraqi pointed out that they didn't have those things before the war either.
The main media is valiantely avoiding reporting any of this.

Thanks for the post. It should be published in every newspaper in the country!!
I remember before the war. There was a lady in the marketplace in Iraq. The reporter said something about war to her. She said: "War! We have had war for 40 years. War is nothing".

Seems that Iraqis are strange people.
I cann't imagine that many russians wanted the foreign power to come and free them from Stalin which wasn't better then Saddam. No doubts.
But to invite foreigners to come with guns to your country is very shameful. Anyone who do that is considered the traitor and beneath contempt.
With time russians freed themselves. But it growed from within. If any foreign troops came to Russia with saying "we came to free you" then it would be national war with invaders.
I conclude that Iraqis are very different people then russians.
