Thanks for taking the time to write this out for us. He sounds like a loose cannon, not the sort of person one would want around a nuclear football.

Your Trojan Horse perception is right on.
Folks need to realize that Wesley Clark is a product of the liberalization of the military culminating in all the massive changes injected by teh Clinton Administration.
The Press and the DNC want so very badly for this man to be perceived as the Button-Down conservative type of Fashionable military officer with an impeccable record who was a leader in our military respected by all and not a politician. This could not be further from the truth.
This man was in influential position of power at the time of Clinton and was not simply an implimenter of the policies (Like Gyas in the military, Witches having equal standing in the military chaplaincy and women in combat) he was a total embracer of those things.
That he holds himself out as a conservative type image who has seen the light is disgusting. He has simply sold his soul and is doing what is asked of him by people pulling his strings.
THAT, my friends, is not leadership. That is called being a puppet for the master.

It seems Weasley has the most of the same personal characteristics as Hillary. No wonder they like each other.
They'll be a perfect match with each other on the 2004 Ticket!

I'm drawing a blank on our other 'archivists.'
This story should be salted away for future use against Napoleon Clark.

CNS NEWS.com: "RAMSEY CLARK SAYS AMERICA SHOULD PAY FULL TAB FOR REBUILDING IRAQ" by Steve Brown (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "(CNSNews.com) - America is responsible for war-ravaged Iraq and should pay for its reconstruction instead of asking for help from the United Nations, according to one of the nation's most vocal anti-war activists and former U.S. attorney general Ramsey Clark. Clark, whose off-the-cuff comments in January comparing Jesus Christ to a terrorist created a media firestorm, was in Washington, D.C., Wednesday as director of International Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER). Among other things, Clark alleged that the Bush administration has lied about its "criminal war."") (September 4, 2003)

Interesting account, thanks for posting it.
To: Matthew James; Fred Mertz
Russians still "Soviets," eh? I guess we now understand how it was possible to bomb the Chinese embassy "accidentally".
Nobody has yet pointed out to me at what point in his career Weasely Clark was able to pick up his allegedly fluent Russian.
To: aristeides
This is from Clark's retired resume:
FOREIGN LANGUAGE(S) Russian This is from my former mentor's retired general resume:
FOREIGN LANGUAGE(S) French, German, and Vietnamese
My mentor would not claim to be fluent in any of the three languages today. He probably had special language training for his specific duties in Vietnam and as a commander in Germany.
My guess is that some reporter may have lazily used the word FLUENTLY as a matter of choice, based on viewing Clark's official resume and not necessarily knowingly when describing Clark's Russian language background. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the bump. Scary to think that people will vote for this clown.

Thanks for the heads up!

Scary to think people will vote for this clown? Let's see...
Patriot act--Repeal of Bill of Rights
Faith Based Initiative--Removal of Separation of Church and state
Karla Faye Tucker--when Pat Robertson says a death penalty should be commuted, there's little room left for debate
Then there's also:
No provable link between Saddam and Osama
No evidence of WMDs (I don't think 'oops my bad' or 'it was the CIAs fault...honest!' is sufficient when peoples lives are at stake)
Cheney personally profitting off Iraq
Unocol, Enron
Less relevant, but still significant, Bush's personal life:
Member of Satanic cult, the skull and bones society
Cocaine abuse
To be fair, I'll add the good things of this administration:
They shut down bong shops (nailed comedian Chong of Cheech and Chong)
Ummm...hmm...umm...can't think of anything else... oh yeah! He liberated the Iraqi people! Well, so to speak...really he just created a military state that brutalizes the Iraqi people...and is working to make Iraq an economic slave...but he did get Chong!
So how could anyone vote for Wes Clark? The only argument for Bush is better the devil you know...
