Voters, not worried that he may split the vote, stand by principles rather than desire to win.

"I don't know how you can be a social liberal and a fiscal conservative," said Laguna Niguel civil engineer Larry Wlezien, complaining that more social programs mean more taxes.

Too complicated for Arnold and crew to fathom.

That looks like a good old fashioned Democrat donkey. Yep, sure is. Nice pet. Arnold is generous with the kids I see. But does Maria approve?

Wrong. It's a stubborn mule. Mules are impotent, by the way.

You nailed it on the Gestapo comment. They never miss an opportunity to trash a thread.

>>>One of her concerns is the stubbornness that has helped keep him in the race – a stubbornness that has found him voting against every budget in the legislature for the past decade and even casting the sole vote against the car-tax reduction bill in 1999 because it didn't go far enough.

Bravo! Its good to hear about a real fiscal conservative at work. If other legislators followed Tom McClintock's cue, California wouldn't be in the awful economic conditions its in today.

McClintock, a longtime state legislator from Thousand Oaks, has paid the cost for standing by his beliefs before, such as when he and a handful of others opposed the budgets of then-Gov. Pete Wilson, a fellow Republican, in the 1990s - and saw the leadership appointments and campaign assistance from GOP chiefs evaporate. "No one fought harder against Pete Wilson and his $8 billion in tax increases than Tom McClintock," said Ferguson. "And all of us who stood with Tom paid the price. We became pariahs."

Tom McClintock is a father of two and that's a Democrat donkey. Fits the Schwarzenegger clan perfect. Arnold's a big fan of the Kennedy's. Told LarryLight the other night, how old Teddy Kennedy helped him on that enourmous $400 million after school inititive he worked so hard to get through the state legislature. More highminded liberalism from "the terminator". LOL

And who is the puppetmaster for Arnold? Oh yeah, PETE WILSON!!

All you Arnie-bots tell me again how McClintock will be supported for U.S. Senator if he just steps down now.

The CA GOP is about to shott itself in the foot again, NOT THE VOTERS.

""I don't know how you can be a social liberal and a fiscal conservative," said Laguna Niguel civil engineer Larry Wlezien, complaining that more social programs mean more taxes."

Simple Mr. Wlezien ...
... a TRUE fiscal conservative would not pay for ANY social programs - and as a social liberal would not stick their nose into what other people do as long as they are not paying for it.

It's the PARTIAL fiscal Conservatives that set up what they believe are good "programs" for people and then make social rules that the people must follow to get the money.

Nope - it would not exist... and neither would Government schools to begin with...
Tom is just slightly less liberal then Arnold in regards to that in my eyes...

"We want to make sure the mothers have affordable day care. We want to make sure the older folks have their care that they need. That everything has to be provided for the people." -- Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold will find the money and take it from us. He'll need plenty to bring about his socialist paradise.

Making sure someone has affordable day care and the State not having to pay for it are not mutually exclusive -

It appears that you might be projecting your own limited ideas of how to get things accomplished onto Arnold.
- a popular mistake these days

Name one way a government can "make sure" of anything without spending money to do it.
