First, I must differ with you on the blood feud--there have been many KLA members killed due to feuds over the last few years. And as you said yourself in one of your previous posts: "good old fashioned revenge bloodshed based on family honor casts aside political views very quickly" plus "Things never really change in Kosovo as Albanians continue to kill Albanians." So, again, I believe the absence of blood feuds or killings by the Racak family members mitigates against the Alb on Alb theory.

If you do get around to reading all of my posts how will you will get a better gist of what I have been saying? You find the lack of revenge from the villagers to be strange. The explanation is in my posts i.e. the KLA had control of Racak after the Serbs had left. The Military observers and of course the villagers who had evacuated from the obvious Serb MUP advance were not allowed into Racak until the KLA were ready for Walker and the show. The villagers were told by the KLA that the Serbs had killed their men and that is what they were left to believe. I hold no weight on the witness statements that were obviously motivated by the KLA. Very few female victims considering those mad Serb MUP just pounced on Racak. Have you ever had the chance to hear what a T-55 Soviet erra tank sounds like a few kilometers away? I have and it’s a very sobering sound. The Racak villagers and most of all the KLA knew what was coming considering the KLA had just recently shot some Serb Policeman to death in the area? Thaci himself has publicly stated this was a chosen method to attract a response from the Serbs.

You may have spoken to Ranta whose investigation was flawed and drawn over a long period. I believe she has been described as a forensic dentist. The fact the KLA in Racak refused any investigation as you had mentioned is a bit curious don't you think, considering the Albanians were the victims in all of this and the Albanian Investigating Judge with a Serb accused were there for a criminal investigation. You would think the KLA would have welcomed their own judicial process that had on trial a suspected Serb criminal? The KLA have something to hide and I know this. The LDK walk very lightly in Racak under the watchful eye of the KLA. I worked on them extensively while in Kosovo.

Just because their is this old Albanian Blood fued or Kanoun as it is know in that region of the Balkans, not all Albanians practice revenge. It is more common in the small villages. A good majority of the LDK who the KLA have prayed upon even before the NATO invasion are pacifists and easy targets. I interview one of these LDK people who was left for dead by the very understanding KLA. You mentioned that some of the KLA have been killed as a result of the Albanian blood feud. This is due to conflicts within the KLA itself or with the traditional Albanina criminal groups who moved into Kosovo with a vengnendce. I have seen a few of these unfortunate KLA on the slab at the Pristina Hospital. The most memorable one was Besim Mala. You must understand that your everyday villager will not mess with the KLA who control what goes on in Kosovo. Never the less their conflicts between clans. Just ask yourself why didn’t all the villagers leave and what was the purpose of those 45 who remained? You should ask Ranta this.

Wraith, I'll just go back to the beginning--there is just too much evidence of Serb mis-deeds at Racak; numerous corroborating witness statements, the circumstantial evidence, and a comprehsive investigative report by a neutral team of forensic experts.

Like I said before, I also think the behavior of the local Albanians supports exactly what the evidence proves--a massacre of ethnic Albanian villagers by Serbs at Racak. But it is the evidence that counts, not speculation on why somebody did or did not behave in a particular way; whether it is my speculation or somebody else's.

And BTW, Dr. Ranta is a veteran of many such investigations in Latin America, the Balkans, and Africa. She has a pretty rare combination of professional skills, experience, and perspective.

So bottom line, Wraith, I appreciate your posts & look forward to reading others in the future, but I stand by my conclusions on Racak.
