No problem, I'm used to the skepticism, LeCarb is an excellent product if I do say so myself. If you like Chocolate, check out the Chocolate Almond frozen dessert (ice cream) It is my favorite. Fred.

The Atkin's diet is the best. Just drink lots of water. That should not be a problem today as we all walk around with water. The diet is more than "no carbs". After the weight is lost, you then go to the low carb diet prescribed.

The Ice Cream is avalable in WalMart Supercenters across the US. All products are being sold to all major retailers now. I can tell you specific cities and retailers if you ask.I'll have to make a trip to my local Walmart Supercenter. I'm just wondering if you sell your yogurt to any retailers in the KC area?
thanks!

Use butter, eat meat, just don't gorge. Gorging is what makes peple gain weight. As you say, moderation is the key. Move more, eat less. Doesn't matter very much what you eat, just eat less of it, and skip meals fairly frequently, say, 2 or 3 times a week.
Never eat when you're not hungry, and only eat when you are.

Any sudden weight loss will raise uric acid levels which can activate gout or prevent multiple sclerosis or have no particular effect whatsoever.
Carbohydrate sparing diets will induce ketosis, generally, but it is fairly easy to avoid ketosis and avoid any of that "dieting feeling" of irritability or hunger pangs.
The diet works. For those who measure their uric acid serum concentration and 24hour production before starting on the diet, it appears to both work and be safe.
For those who simply go on the diet as some sort of whim without taking proper precautions, well... "look before you leap" and if you don't look first, then atleast land without complaining about how stupid you were.

I will.I love chocolate and nuts lol. I have to watch the calorie and fat content though. I don't really care for the WW desserts (too many points). I've been buying the health smart bars. Want me to freepmail you after I try your ice cream? :')

For those who simply go on the diet as some sort of whim without taking proper precautions,If one is healthy, there are no "precautions" necessary.
Also, the Atkins diet recommends as a "kick start" to those with a lot of weight to lose to stay off all carbs for the first two weeks, thus putting one in ketosis. There's no harm in that, except that one will need to be aware of flatulence and bad breath. Get some leafy vegetables in your diet as soon as possible.
Otherwise, Atkins is perfectly safe for everybody.

"The main things dropped are wheat and sugar. You still eat veggies and fruits on Atkins. Man evolved to eat meat, eggs, fruits and veggies. Processed grain products and sugar are late additions to the diet, and are the main things cut out."This an interesting debate. I was diagnosed with hypertension and high cholesterol just over a year ago. Med's got the blood pressure under control and The AHA diet dropped the cholesterol to acceptable levels. I still keep animal protien in my diet as I don't believe we were ment to only eat grass.
By the way, I'm not fat and I am active.

Never eat when you're not hungry, and only eat when you are. Sorry, but this is wrong also. One should NOT wait until they're hungry or one is more likely eat too much, too fast. The "grazing" method is better.
You're right though, move more, eat smarter.

I
LOVE LeCarb ice cream!!! Began Atkins in March (and have done so great!) and found LeCarb in Walmart in April -- it made my year! Unfortunately, I told too many of my other locarb friends and now Walmart is always selling out. :)
It is my big splurge on occasion and tastes absolutely wonderful! My favorite is chocolate almond. Best of all, there are NO hidden carbs in it!
Invent some more stuff! :)

Some HEB's carry LeCarb frozen, Walmart Supercenter does for sure. Look for the milk product in the next 3-4 weeks in the supercenters. Fred.

Well I hope my Walmarts's has it. They didn't carry WW until a year or so ago. Now HEB and Walmarts stocking up on these products. The money has been on large quantities of high calorie stuff but they are finally realizing that there is a market in the valley for the weight/nutrtional conscience also.

Here is a list of foods I gave up to go on my "normal-carb" diet: Candy, pastries, cookies, frozen foods, pies, chips, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated vegetable oils, fried foods, fast foods, and sugar-sweetened drinks. You are going to die after giving up those nutrient laden foods!

'High-fat diets are also associated with obesity...Thereby explaining perfectly why the obesity rate has gone up while everyone has been obsessing about lowfat diets for the last decade.
But she does not include a warning about the possible risk of kidney or liver disease for anyone who spends a long time on the diet, possibly because of lack of reliable research to back such claims.
Oh, the irony of it!

Well I have been crashing and burning at work and getting sick of it. I don't think I can go on the full atkins, but I am going to try and just cut out bread, sugar, junk food and see what happens.
