Do you realize that the Demorats are laughing their a$$es off as they watch McClintock pull votes off the only Republican that can win? There isn't some around here who are laughing also.

Robert D.S. Novak said on "The Capital Gang" (CNN, Saturday 7 p.m. Eastern) that McClintock was fading in strength but that Bustamante and Schwarzenegger were locked in a near tie and not gaining either.
Regardless of the polls, I would vote for McClintock even if he and I were the only ones still supporting him on Election Day, whenever that may be.

"If 32% are undecided, it's that group that really has the chance to choose the new governor. Given the relative amount of publicity each candidate has gotten, it seems that McClintock has the advantage in getting these voters."
Not really. Conservatives tend to be well-informed and know the score already.
A lot of the mushy middle has yet to choose.
This could be bad for Republicans if those late deciders are not told how dangerous Cruz B. they might break for him.
"Everyone is already thoroughly familiar with both Busty and Arnold " ... and McClintock. IMHO you are engaged in wishful thinking. the undecideds are mostly *not* McClintock voters.

Arnold won the straw poll at the convention big time. There was no straw poll at the convention. One group collected unofficial ballots outside of the Arnold luncheon while all the McClintock supporters were at the recall rally in Long Beach. That could hardly be called a reasonable tally of anything.

(It's time for Arnold to stop splitting the Republican vote and step aside for the good of the party)

Tom McClintock said in the last debate, his favortie book was "Free To Choose" by Milton Friedman. And as he said, he actually read it. So McClintock actually sunk to saying Schwarzenegger hasn't read the book.
McClintock really is a small man. Can't he tout his ideas and favorite book without bashing Schwarzenegger?
I really think he is not a good man, the more I see and hear him. Good political and idealogical positions does not a good and decent man make.

Thanks.
P.S. Wasn't yelling with the all caps on "Get It," either....just frustrated.
These people remind me of those that are saying we should take that 87 Billion Bush wants for military and rebuilding and spend it on our OWN people.
They don't seem to understand that if Iraq doesn't become a beacon of light--of a people that have toilets that flush--in the middle of that Casbah-ish land of bandit terrorists, we might not be around to spend that $ on ourselves.

It still looks like:
1. Bustamente*
2. No Recall (Davis)*
3. The rest of the field
* 1 and 2 can still flip.
If you already sent in an Absentee Ballot and your candidate drops out and asks you to support another Republican, what will you do to help defeat the Democrats?
In a Recall situation in California, ANY "R" is better than any "D".
