Don't ask questions like that.
Don't ask where the Kennedys got their money either. Bootlegging, according to legend. Didn't make a bit of diffence to the voters, apparently.
We have had only two HONEST presidents, in my opinion. Abraham Lincoln and Herbert Hoover.

You should add the scrupulously honest Coolidge and the inestimable Madison to your list.

No legend on the Kennedy's. Joe used his political
connections via his father-in-law to get
Drug stores licenses and then sold then
behind the cover of being Drug stores sold
booze.

George Washington was honest, too.
He even admitted that he cut down that cherry tree.

We have had only two HONEST presidents, in my opinion. Abraham Lincoln and Herbert Hoover. Honest? Is poor automatially honest? Both of these did not give a fig for our constitution. Lincoln was a mass murderer starting a war that killed hundreds of thousands without just cause. He also forcibly silenced his northern opposition, going so far as to imprison uncooperative newspaper editors without due process. His actions even surpassed the excesses of our current president.
He doesn't belong in any position of honor.

Madison, McKinely, T. Roosevelt
were all certainly honest men as well.

We have had only two HONEST presidents, in my opinion. Abraham Lincoln and Herbert Hoover. A close family member was friends with the son of Gen. Smedley Butler (two-time Medal-of-Honor winner and one of the most famous Marines ever). On one occasion he heard Gen. Butler accuse Herbert Hoover of cowardice during the Boxer Rebellion in China. Apparently he had encountered Hoover when the latter crept out from hiding following the shelling of a building they were in.

What about Coolidge? And Reagan?
To: RonHolzwarth
James Garfield probably told the least lies during his presidential term....but then again, his term lasted less than a year.
To: RonHolzwarth
If you are honest and open,I think the new book containing Reagan's hand written letters is going to force you to add another President to your list.
