Kenneth Hagin was a giant in the Faith movement and was the spiritual father to such preachers as Kenneth Copeland and Frederick K. C. Price. He was raised from his deathbed in 1919 from a fatal illness that had debilitated him to the point that all he could do was read the Bible. He spent his time reading healing scriptures and believed them without doubt, and one day simply got out of bed and was 100% cured.

Hagin had many amazing events in his life, and was one of the leading prophets in the country. His prophecies always checked out with scripture.

Copeland and Hagin were about 50% sincere and 50% snake oil.

I am a Christian who has listened to both and I did get some good out of their teaching, but I let their 'positive confession' nonsense fly right past.

God is not a waiter to be ordered around by the whims of man.

If faith doesn't work for you fine. Works for me. Good luck.

Oh, I know. Some people can't say anything good about anyone---hey Jesus was constantly called names and persecuted. Goes with the territory.

See, that shows you know absolutely nothing about the Faith movement. Educate yourself, then we'll talk.

Hear, Hear!
One of the biggest misconceptions being spread by the Word-of-Faith crowd is that God is some magic genie who will grant your every wish. It is because of such nonsense I have a lot of confused relatives.
