Look- the Secret Service is the only federal agency in the Executive Branch that can give the President an order. They believed his life may have been in danger, and the safest place for him was on Air Force One.

When the President's life is in danger, the Secret Service is obligated to protect him. Even if he ORDERED AF1 to fly to Washington, the Secret Service would have said "No way."

I don't have the answers to these questions. But why is no one asking them?

I wonder if it's because no one cares exactly what the sequence of events was? Could it be that most of us are satisfied that the Secret Service job was to protect the President and did just that? Could it be that most of us were quite satisfied with the sequence of actions taken by the President and his Administration on 9/11 and the following days and months?

On the other hand some of us are wondering why these writers weren't concerned with the giveaway of our military secrets to the Chinese for Democrat campaign contributions? Perhaps that will be his next article...

This is all the more incredible when one considers the fact that 9/11 is among the most exhaustively chronicled days in human history and Bush among its most heavily covered individuals.

Regardless of her politics (and most indications are that she was never a raving Nazi herself), there is no question that her work will be watched and studied for centuries to some as some of the most brilliant filmmaking ever done. I think you're half right. The other half is that the questions have ALREADY been asked and answered, multiple times, but Alterman and the Bush-Haters aren't satisfied with the answers and are thus attempting revisionist history.
