An anguished East Bay father who believes his pregnant 18-year-old daughter died because she took the abortion pill known as RU-486 called Friday for the medical community to take a new and critical look at how the drugs are administered.

Holly Patterson did not have adequate information and supervision to go through with the abortion on her own.

She obviously didn't have adequate information and supervision about how to prevent getting pregnant, DON'T HAVE SEX.

Had she and her family not been moral degenerates, she'd probably be alive today.

At the risk of sounding like a cold-hearted ba$tard, I am not so sure that this family is'nt one of those sheeple that believe this is a magic pill that makes the "fetus" (I noticed the father used this term) go away.

"Had she and her family not been moral degenerates..."

This seems gratuitiously cruel.

IF that's the case, they certainly aren't the only ones. As a volunteer in a CPC, I hear many comments about RU486 being "just a pill you take." At the very least, this story may help get out the fact- it is WAY more than "just a pill", it's a human pesticide to both the baby and it's mom.

FROM THE ARTICLE

That is what Holly Patterson was instructed to do, according to her father, who only learned about his daughter's abortion as she was hours from death.

Well, that is my point. I guess I should have been more clear. I used to be one of those "sheeple", who upon learning about the abortion pill was shocked about how effing dangerous and complicated it is. But that is the way the feminazi's, liberals, and abortion/death industry wants the public to think about it - through outright lies.

I said on another thread that the outrage of the media will be at conservatives and pro-lifers that "create" an atmosphere of secrecy and shame in using the abortion pill so much that people like Holly had to hide it from her father.

"I don't want to say I'm mad, I just think things should be different," he continued. "We should not have lost Holly, and we did."

What is it about this guy that makes him sound so much like John Walker (Taliban) Lindh's daddy?

Donations should be sent to your local anti-abortion and anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers in the name of Holly Patterson and her child.

Planned Parenthood said in a statement that it is working with the family to look into the cause of death.

This alone makes me question the intelligence and the morality of the father. He's letting Planned Parenthood investigate???? He's stupid if he thinks they won't just do a cover-up.

Planned Parenthood won't tell the truth about the link between abortion and breast cancer, either. www.abortionbreastcancer.com. They're killing women left and right (not to mention the babies)! I feel very sorry for this father. Maybe the young woman's death will be a wake-up call and will actually end up saving lives.

Did the father ever teach his daughter any of the ten commandments? Like "Thou Shalt Not Kill"? He doesn't seem all that concerned about the fate of her soul --- she lost her life intentionally destroying the life of her own baby. Two lives were ended in this case --- does he have any concern at all for the grandchild's?

I'd bet money that Planned Parenthood will just claim she mis-used the "medication" and still claim the RU-486 is perfectly safe for women who take it to kill their children.

I commend to your attention Marvin Olasky's "Abortion In America". Prior to sterile procedure and anesthisia, most abortions were chemically induced (tansy was an herb of preference). RU-486 was originally developed as a chemotherapy drug, and like most of them, was toxic, it just kills cancer cells slightly more quickly than the host. It will indeed induce a miscarriage, but any woman considering it should be aware she is likely to be sick as a dog for a day or three, if she is lucky enough not to meet St. Peter.

Holly is an object lesson to all who think the pill can kill the baby as easily as an abortion can. Parts of the body of the baby left inside her. Sad for the baby. She would have been a horrible mother....actually, she was. Sorry. No sympathy here.

All I can say is that Planned Parenthood is darn lucky that this girl was 18, or they would have a hell of a lawsuit on their hands. I am just waiting for the first tragedy with an underage girl. Planned Parethood has no business in our schools.
