Sad but true. In an insane society the sane man must appear insane.

But blessed are they who don't capitulate.

Must be a city thing.I dont know any country women who want their men to look and act like a bunch of pussies.

Or democrat thing. I can't imagine conservative women admiring men who spend much more time in front of the mirror than they do. Liberal women seem to adore narcissitic men ---- they fawned all over Bill Clinton, and it was a feminist designing a metro (alpha-male) look for Al Gore.

Homosexuals have come out of the closet, to the point that they are now rearranging other people's closets and determining what goes inside them.

OK, I admit I laugh at this television show. I also agree that the implications for society are far-reaching and possibly ominous. But not as ominous as insisting that government regulate media content, which is where I part company with religious conservatives.

I believe most of the blame does fall on government. Government has taken over the role previously played by churches and other morality-based private charities. Today, we are nurtured from cradle to grave by government workers who propogate the idea that the days of self-responsibilty were frought with injustice and poverty. Today, as far as the liberal culture is concerned, you do not belong unless you can claim victimhood. The only victim class open to white males is gayness.

We deserve the society that has emerged. It's a society where baseball players wear earrings and abortionists are honored as public servants. Still, asking government, which has been responsible for secularization, to bring about its demise is like asking Clinton to babysit your daughter.

Those "straight guys" better hope none of the "fab five" have any open sores, or cut themselves, while preparing the "raw appetizers".

I agree that the homosexual agenda that is overturning much of Traditional Christian culture in this country has to be opposed. Unfortunately, we are backed into a corner where our only appeal it seems, is to appeal to law and government to stem the tide. Maybe that's all the left can understand.
Still, a dangerous route to go; government NEVER willingly reliquishes any of its power.

That said, give the devil his due; I hate the french and their culture of egalite, but those guys CAN cook and know their wine! Same with the homosexuals; when it comes to matters of FORM, as a group, they seem to do better at it, that does not give them carte blanche to rewrite laws, Scripture, ethos, metaphysics and biology, though.
As for foppishness, that is bad. However a sense of style, however understated, is something I would like to see a little more of on the conservative side of the spectrum. The only one that comes to mind is Larry Kudlow, and he's no fop!

From ESPN to Show 'Straight Eye for the Homo Guy' :

Destined to be a ratings hit, 'Straight Eye' also includes "coaching sessions" where the hetero-males tell the homosexual helpful things like "clothing is strictly for warmth and to cover your body, not to draw attention to yourself. Buy clothes which blend with your surroundings....like camouflage gear."

Wherever people are separated for long periods from the opposite sex into a self-contained culture of their own—prisons, ships at sea, English boarding schools—homosexuality often breaks out. When the sexual segregation is over, as when the prisoner is released, these cultural gays often go back to heterosexuality.

That is not quite true. True and not true. "English boarding schools and some ships at sea. However some cultures and captaincies are more resistant to it. In "The Fatal Shore", his landmark book about the founding of Australia -- the transportations of criminals and assorted street riff-raff to the primitive shores of the great antipodal prison isle, author Robert Hughes makes the claim based on extensive research that while male homosexuality was prevalent among the English prison population, yet almost non-existant among the Irish-Catholics.

Mr. Simpson points out how various acts of sodomy—the sexual practices of homosexuals—have become increasingly prevalent among heterosexuals, even married adults.

"Women reportedly constitute the biggest audience for the program"

Yes, my wife likes Queer Eye. I was highly skeptical. I thought it would be a much better idea for a man to get necessary instructions from a woman or from a successful heterosexual man. However, after watching a few episodes of this, I must admit that they gay guys have helped the straight guys and have been very nice about it.

Having lived in some cities with a lot of homosexuals, I have become adept at picking them out. It isn't that they are necessarily effeminate (although the ones with boobs and lipstick are). They emanate a sick self-centeredness - their awareness is bent back upon their own appearance and (gack) sexuality - it's like a subtle stink that permeates the air around them. Their consciousness is focused on their butts.

A normal man isn't obsessed or that concerned with his appearance. If he's searching for a mate, he tries to look good, and there are exceptions to this as well. (Usually predator type men who use and discard women.) A normal man's attention is on what he is doing, where he is going, his thoughts and plans, and if he's attracted - it's to a woman.

Homosexuals, OTOH, are attracted to their own sex organs. Their attention is withdrawn into their own bodies, and it is a very subtle yet noticeable thing. It is also sick, and sad, and if normal men want to emulate them, they won't be normal for long. No normal woman wants a relationship with someone who is obsessed with appearance and "style".

They'll probably get the kind of shallow women they deserve.

I like it, too. The guys are very good at what they do, and I love their humor. ("Guns don't kill people. Bad fashion does!")

Hell, I wish someone would sit me down and tell me how to order wine, what skin products I should use and send me off to the mall why they redecorate my house.

P.S. My very normal husband has to have his clothes ripped away from him to go into the laundry - tries to hide his socks so I won't waste time sorting them into pairs, he'd prefer to just grab two even if they don't match. The ones with holes? He figures he can wear them one more time (and one more time etc). He hangs around in his long johns as regular home wear. He also cuts his own hair.
I wouldn't have him any other way. If he started going all fashionable on me I'd get sick.
