A co-worker of mine has parents in Virginia Beach VA, and a brother in Chesapeake VA. The brother was staying put, but his parents evacuated inland. I asked him at noon if he'd heard from his parents. He said no, the power outage had stopped cell phone service.
Here's to hoping that all Freepers weathered the storm safely.

I live in NAS Oceana housing, still waiting (out in Melbourne FL at a friend's house) on word for when power, water, and gas will be back on at my place. All I know now is that it's still standing and in one piece.
