If you think the social swirl in Hollywood grinds to a halt after the Academy Awards on Sunday, think again.http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a38d8d7ac4cd3.htmTinseltown is gearing up for another major black-tie event, this one honoring Hillary Rodham Clinton on Tuesday night.
Anyone who's anybody in Hollywood will be in attendance at "An Unforgettable Evening," the fourth annual charity ball co-sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue and the Cedars-Sinai Research for Women's Cancers honoring the First Lady with a "Woman of Courage" award.
Past Courage award recipient and event co-chair Anne Douglas said that the decision to honor Clinton was made before she announced her Senate candidacy. "She's being honored here for her lasting commitment to family, women and children."
The event is not billed as political, but the guest list offers quite an indication of just how much Hollywood is in the First Lady's corner.
Two showbiz power couples Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks, and Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg serve as honorary chairs of the event. Joining them will be Barbra Streisand and James Brolin, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Candice Bergen, Bette Midler, David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Sherry Lansing, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, and Glenn Frey.
