I knew there were a lot of candidates on the ballot, but didn't know those individuals were among them and that the 'group' you are citing has endorsed their candidacies. That being the case, Schwarzenegger truly is a hypocrite.

Your type of intolerant Christian conservative republicans. I admit it. Go, I tire of your endless empty threats.

The sad thing is that if Simon hadn't made a complete fool of himself on a weekly basis during the last campaign, you'd have a conservative Republican governor now (Davis is so unpopular he still didn't have a very strong victory despite that, even). If the ballot was McClintock/Davis, McClintock (or any conservative) would have a real shot at winning. The different dynamics of the race don't make that a strong possiblity in this case, unfortunately.

'cuz it's highly unlikely the party will support him for anything higher than county dogcatcher after this farce.

The hacks in the Republican Party of Calfornia haven't bothered to sue Gray Davis on the grounds that his 2002 election is invalid because of the recent Ninth Circuit Court's ruling on voting machines. That shows that they can't even remember what happened less than a year ago. Their entire focus is on winning the next election. The notion that principleless hacks would carry a grudge to the point of losing their jobs and having to look for real work is ridiculous.

since BOTH SIDES in your version (SchwarzenKennedy and BustaMEChA) are exactly the same on positions, support, and ideas.

What is your motive for posting here? It certainly isn't to present credible arguments, obviously.

Give Cruz Bustamante my warmest regards (said "warmest regards" being a hand with the middle finger extended).

Naw. Unlike you, I don't hobnob with lefties.

Still no outrage on your part cause Arnie takes money from Hillary-supporters??

Didn't think so...

Because if Arnold wins, he becomes the effective head of the California Republican Party Wrong. The chairman of the CRP is elected by its members.

I'm not talking about the chairmanship. I said effective head

As in the person who will be deciding who gets appointed offices in the new administration. As in the person who will have a lot of power over what legislation gets passed. As in the person who will have a lot of say over which Republican districts get favored over others.

If Arnold gets the governorship, he gets a lot of power, in the sense of being able to make certain Republicans lives easy or hard. They WILL pay attention to what the gov wants

Notice that none of them have dared to reply?

Either you are suffering from amnesia, or simply not telling the truth. Since you even replied to one of my posts where I addressed that 'point', there's no way you can deny that you saw it. So, since the latter is most likely, my only question to you is: Why?

Why? To make trouble and cause division.

To do so would effectively be conceding that the 9th Circuit's ruling is correct...a position which I doubt they agree with.

Maybe YOU could try to try to address the facts, given his dumbstruck silence:

A group which has supported the California Republican Party, which regularly attends and participates in its conventions, which is in turn supported by the CRP, which has has had its political goals overwhelmingingly endorsed by the vote of the CRP membership and which has had the CRP step forward as one of the top financial supporters of its Prop 1A tribal gaming initiative, made an independent expenditure on behalf of a conservative CRP member, rather than a leftist RINO opportunist.

Apparently so. As you can see, he/she just keeps right on with the same baloney. When arguments are based on lies, there is no foundation for a debate. This is a lost cause, so I guess it's time to just let this thread die. Most of it is nothing but one side trying to change the subject with the other side trying to get back on topic. There is no real discussion, and it is just a waste of time, it appears, to try and get a real discussion going. Perhaps we can try again on another thread.

CALIFORNIA INDIAN NATIONS SUMMIT A SUCCESS

By Debra Utacia Krol (Pechanga.net)

ONTARIO, CALIF. - In a testament to the increasing clout of California's Native Americans, state Republicans held their first summit with Indian leaders to hear concerns on topics ranging from land trusts to gaming.

Representatives of more than 60 tribes met with the 12 legislators at the all-day summit on August 17 sponsored by the California Republican Legislative Caucus.

Sorry, I'm not going to play your little games anymore. You and I both know you are not being honest. Posting the same irrelevancies over and over again after they have been demonstrated to be so do not make them anymore relevant. Denying that I made a post addressing a point when you yourself replied to said post does not make for a powerful argument, either. That being understood, this is my last post on the thread. Good bye, and I hope that the next thread in which we have an encounter you try to debate rationally and honestly, with relevant facts and from a desire to have a discussion, not a personal grub match. I forgive you, and the slate is now wiped clean, so on another thread, let's both try to keep this more civil. Farewell.

Sorry, I'm not going to play your little games anymore.

Anymore? You've been fleeing the facts since day one.

Battin made a straightforward bid for the American Indian vote in California. After speaking to the crowd, Battin told Indian Country Today he feels Republicans are more in line philosophically with American Indians.

"The tribes basically want the same things that are core Republican values. They want limited government and they want to be able to have the opportunity to generate wealth. That is the essence of being a Republican," Battin said.

Battin added that he feels tribes fared better under Republican presidential administrations. To back up his claim, he cites Nixon’s re-recognition of several tribes, Reagan’s support of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and the first President Bush’s signing of the Native American Graves and Repatriation Act.

You're votin' for one - if that ain't "hobnobbing", I don't know what is.

Still no outrage on your part cause Arnie takes money from Hillary-supporters??

Still trying to change the subject? How does it help Republican causes for McWampum to take money from the same place Gray Davis gets his?
