'cuz it's highly unlikely the party will support him for anything higher than county dogcatcher after this farce.

The hacks in the Republican Party of Calfornia haven't bothered to sue Gray Davis on the grounds that his 2002 election is invalid because of the recent Ninth Circuit Court's ruling on voting machines. That shows that they can't even remember what happened less than a year ago. Their entire focus is on winning the next election. The notion that principleless hacks would carry a grudge to the point of losing their jobs and having to look for real work is ridiculous.

To do so would effectively be conceding that the 9th Circuit's ruling is correct...a position which I doubt they agree with.
