54: No on 54 Union Thugs Assault Pro-54 Females at Davis/Gore Rally, Los Angeles

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

UNION THUGS SAVAGELY ATTACK COLLEGE KIDS AT A GRAY DAVIS SPEECH FOR SUPPORTING PROP 54, PROP 54 CAMPAIGN CHAIR WARD CONNERLY DECLARES IT AN ‘OUTRAGE’

SACRAMENTO, CALIF.--Ward Connerly, chairman of the Yes on Proposition 54 campaign, angrily denounced the savage attack several men from an unidentified union and carrying “No on Prop 54” signs unleashed on six college students.

The students, all members of the California College Republicans and in their early 20s, were peacefully protesting at a voter-registration rally held in south Los Angeles and featuring Governor Gray Davis and former Vice President Al Gore. The students stood respectfully outside and carried “Yes on Prop 54” signs.

They were approached by a gang of men, all wearing union shirts and carrying “No on Prop 54” signs, who began verbally harassing them and physically intimidating them by holding their signs over those of the students, standing threateningly close and following them when the students tried to retreat to a safe distance. They also shouted down the students with racial slurs and called one of the female students a “white-washed Mexican.”

Then about 15 of the “No on 54” thugs surrounded two girls, hit them in the face and pulled their hair. Another student who tried to rescue the girls got punched in the back. Finally, all of the students managed to escape to their car and drive away, all the while being followed and yelled at by their bullying attackers. Representatives of the media, including the Los Angeles Times, NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN were present, but it’s unclear how much of the attack they witnessed.

“I cannot express enough my disgust and contempt for brutes who express their political beliefs by beating up on anyone, especially young females,” said Mr. Connerly. “My sympathies go out to the students who had to endure this outrage. They are extremely courageous people who stand up and declare their beliefs, even at risk of bodily harm. I’m proud they stand among the supporters of Prop 54.”

Prop 54 will bar the state and all local California governments from classifying individuals by race in the areas of public education, employment, contracting and most other government operations. Reasonable exemptions exist for medical research subjects and patients, racial classifications required by federal law or for federal funds and certain activities of law enforcement. The state legislature, by a two-thirds vote and with the governor’s approval, can vote to exempt any other reasonable area. Also, the Department of Fair Housing and Employment will receive a 10-year sun-setting exemption.

Members of the media wishing for more information on the attack or who want to get in touch with any of the students can do so by contacting the Yes on Prop 54 office. For more information on Prop 54, please go to www.racialprivacy.org.

I would suggest hardshell armor

Yes, you are right about the firearms however the armor suggestion is too defensive in nature. If attacked, I prefer dishing out rather than rec. so let's see if we can agree on the weapon. Is there any particular problem with the bat? How about pepper spray?

Jessica also called the Larry Elder show today. Her story is pretty infuriating. She said every time the TV cameras pointed their way, the union thugs would push their own signs in front of the "Yes on 54" signs to block them. I guess free speech is only for people with certain views!

you have a problem with hardshell armor (which will shatter any knuckle on impact) which extends down the wearer's extremeties?
A blow from an armored forearm ain't nothin' funny.

Re: Post 9

Excellent graphic.
I've been marking up any form (including the census) that requests for 'ethnic' data with a big X, and writing in 'American', for the past 10+ years.
There's only one race, and we're all descended from Noah and his family from the not too distant past. This 'ethnic Balkanization' is just an attempt to divide people.

Don and Terry Adams can tell us all about the behaviour of union thugs.

Some things never change!

It's late and you have worn me down. Armor, signs with steel pools. So be it. That's the perscription for the union bullies that like to push women around.

I was a union memeber at one time. When I was elected shop steward I took my brand new badge to the local range and put 6 10mm rounds (from a smith 610) into the Union Gear symbol on the badge--about an inch and a half circle. This thrilled all the folks I represented (third shift hated the union and its former representation--thats why I was elected) and when I was confronted by the union thugs and hotheads, of which there were a few, I proceeded to approach the plant chair-- the highest authority I had access to and also one of those that was offended by my badge--and told him If anything happens to me, my family, my property, including vehicles, home, or tool box, I am holding YOU responsible, I don't care who does it.--mind you I didn't threaten. After some mouthing off about how people sacrificed for the union and more spew about how I should be ashamed and was a bad steward, I reiterated what I told him and walked out. The hotheads suddenly shut up. And I was left alone. Moral: find the source and shut it down any way possible..:)

Keyword search for 'Don Adams' to get started.
I remember the day well. clinton was coming to Philly. Unions were driving big trucks around blaring music to support the president. This is right around the time of impeachment.
I remember glaring at a truck as I crossed Market to head home. And then I thought about the ramifications.
Anyway, while protesting, the union leader 'hatted' Don Adams. That is, he put a hat on him and then IMMEDIATELY a dozen union members jump on him and beat the shit out of him.
Better yet, it gets caught on tape. By the news media.
Guess who gets arrested? Yup, Don Adams.

This is similar to a situation at an Eagles preseason game a few years ago. TV taped some dude getting his teeth knocked out of his face by a guy at least a foot taller and 100 pounds heavier. The guy who lost teeth was arrested for assault. The other guy was Union. And the reporter even stated it.

The union head who hatted Don eventually died, but not before they found his cache of ballistics and supplies for Y2K. Interviewed on TV, he told the cameras he expected there to be mass riots and that his union would bring order.
It's like nothing has changed since 1920 for some of these idiots. And they vote.

You are right. And I concur. I'm of two minds here as to who the "source" is (yes, I know you meant specifically, "union source"). Gray Davis some weeks back held a multi-million dollar "conference" for union peoples. Cruz Bustamante is using $4.5 million to attack/censor Prop 54. This assault occurred at a Davis/Gore event. And who is now YES on recall, Yes on Bustamante? This union thuggish behavior is not at all new. It was unions who protested alongside "anti-war" protestors in Oakland. It was Unions who also came out against Prop 209. And "unions" are rabidly against Prop 54.

The most people I know who are so economically comfortable at jobs which do not pay comparable wages in non-union sectors? Union workers.

I've been hearing anecdotal stories from workers (who despise the union they had to sign on with in order to get "the" job); the union leaders are spreading a rumor that Bush is about to pass some time of bill "outlawing" unions. Or cutting into unions. I've heard this rumor from different sources; as quoted by workers quoting their union "leaders". So. Clinton? Gebhart? HILLARY!

Thank you, but I do get your point. Getting smarter, and wising up to the ruffian techniques and methods is key to standing, here in CA.

Got any methods, specifically, for finding these sources?

Videocams. I think it might help to get our hands on some union shirts for protest supporters to wear while union-shirt wearers provide both security and videocaming. Pictures of the union thugs apparrel can be copied, worn and chould make for some very interesting protesting, eh? :)

The silver bullit? Garlic? :)

Ahhh.. but dear Goldstategop.. The cult mentality works like this. The usual anti-American coalitions -- all agree to support each other's agenda (abortion, "living" wages, preferential aa, ...) ergo, these Pro-54 protestors are considered blobs of malleable tissues -- and are not humans. These are not considered humans unless they walk with the left!

CA NOW give a lecture to these thugs about "bullying", or "violence"? HA! It's the cult mentality thing.

Chad -- what an idea! But I get the impression Democrats would much rather see the National Guard involved in CA politics -- than elsewhere fighting terrorists.

Well, we certainly need to get smarter in dealing with these union thugs -- out to assault and deny constitutional rights.

The cops stopped them, but couldn't do anything about it because nobody had any evidence. Tough position for cops, too. They have unions, also.

Nonetheless, I think we should all take a page out of various group's "defend yourself from an attacker" websites: Pepperspray, long fingernails, martial arts, walking canes. We know what these goons are doing; along with "evidence" gathering methods -- protection is key.

Missouri -- "Union" here has a vert different focus and meaning here in CA than it perhaps has in Missouri.

From (fill-inblank) student unions, nurses unions, teachers, police, iron workers.. etc., -- UNIONS RUN OUR STATE.

Don't believe me?

Just ask the AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERITIES UNION. ;<

A good taser or pepper spray gun, right? You might not be aware but Dems, some years back, banned the carrying of tire-thumpers in the car or cab. Strange little move, no?
