UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- The United Nations General Assembly on Friday overwhelmingly adopted a resolution demanding Israel drop its threat to "remove" Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. The measure was passed in a vote of 133 to 4, with 15 abstentions. Sudan, Malaysia and 18 other nations presented the resolution to the General Assembly after a similar one was vetoed by the United States on Tuesday at the Security Council.
But unlike those adopted by the 15-nation council, General Assembly resolutions are not binding.

I'd take that as a sign from above and flush the diaper-headed turd.

But unlike those adopted by the 15-nation council, General Assembly resolutions are not binding. But the ones in the Security Council are not enforced. The whole thing is meaningless.

Looks like the U.N. has finally found a cause it can get behind: keeping another murderous kleptocrat in power.

does anyone have the info on which 3 countries abstained the other day...and of course the abstentions today.
doesn't it always seem that the UN's major responsibility is scolding israel and kissing the butts of various dictatorial mideast entities?

So doesn this mean France and Germany UN reps will surround Arafat? Cool. Get 'em all at once and let the Israelis do it.
