My grandmother's ancestor came to Connecticut in 1632 and married the daughter of William Webster. William Moore only came into the family by marriage. It seems that William Kidd gathered his crew from the shores of the Delaware, where my grandmother's family was located at the time.

Is your family still adventurous, they say that risk taking is a hereditary characteristic?

My family was relatively boring, mostly teachers, ministers, and loggers, oh and military. I had an ancestor in every war this country ever fought, (not sure about the French and Indian, though). I had one that crossed the Delaware with Washington, one in the 1812, several in the Civil War (one in Andersonville) and numerous sailors (one sailed to China with Perry, and was once shipwrecked at the mouth of the Columbia and lived with the Indians for two years). I love the little stories that you come across researching family roots.

I have heard the "force or fraud" line before. However, when you try to get down to specifics, all I have ever heard from Libertarians is they are against this law or that law or another law. The bottom line is, both are against all laws. That means there is no difference between them.
