I'm posting this acknowledging I haven't personally verified the information, although I believe the organization is credible. I called their 800 number and left my name and number. Anybody else seen this posted at FR or any where else, let me know.

Regardless, let Arafat sweat bullets.

I hate to ask the obvious, but can't Arafat just travel back to some Arab hellhole as soon as he gets off the boat in France?

You mean, like Debka?

If the Israelis have a plan, it's highly unlikely their special forces would leak the information, unless it's a red herring to make everyone expect a certain scenario when they have something else planned totally different.

I'm picturing the scene at the end of "Fargo" where the car salesman/husband is captured whining and crying at a roadside motel.

Lets face it...if the Mosad and the Sayeret Metcal were going to snatch or rub out Arafat...the first we would hear of it would be when they would tell us it happened allready.

This release of "future plans" was a political new release to let Arafat know he was a target and to force the hand of this Administration. How stupid our administration was to make any statement on the issue. The Israelis are not stupid...but apparentl;y some in our state department are.

OK, someone has to say it:

Is this a SECRET plan?

(and I hope it is true)

This sounds even less reliable than Debka, and I didn't realize that was possible.

but can't Arafat just travel back to some Arab hellhole ...

No Arab hellhole will have him. The Egyptians don't care, the father of the current King of Jordan slaughtered 10,000 Palestinians in one day, the Saudis don't want him, the Kuwaitis see him linked with Saddam and really don't want him ...

"You mean, like Debka?

Yeah, just like that! :-D

"If the Israelis have a plan, it's highly unlikely their special forces would leak the information, unless it's a red herring to make everyone expect a certain scenario when they have something else planned totally different."

If the story is even true, which I was really wondering, it would have to be a ruse. The way the writer used the term "Israeli SAS" which isn't even an acronym familiar with any IDF branches I'm aware of, but British, raised an eyebrow.

Actually, the first thing that went through my mind was, "Ah ha, MOSSAD is screwing with Arafat's already twisted little mind," and, well, it generated a smile.

Just posted it here to see if anything else surfaced. Will wait to see if I get a call back or email from the original crafters of the newsletter.

Regardless, will envision Arafat and his personal "security" detachment twitching and trembling at the dark shadows in the nights ahead, waiting for the IDF bogeyman to swoop down on all of them.

BWWWAAAHAAHAAAHAAAaaaaa!
