Hispanics Largest Growing Population In Idaho

By Associated Press

BOISE -

Idaho's Hispanic population grew three times faster than the state as a whole in the first two years after the last census.

Leaders of the state's largest minority say that puts more pressure on public schools.

According to new estimates from the Census Bureau, the state grew at three-point-two percent overall from mid-2000 to mid-2002, with the Hispanic population jumping ten-point-six percent. Only 13 other states saw higher percentage growth in their Hispanic groups.

Gladys Esquibel, who heads the state Commission on Hispanic Affairs, says schools must change to address the needs of Hispanic students. The latest results from the state standards achievement tests show that more than half of Hispanic high school sophomores failed.

I speak Spanish and I've talked to a lot of Mexican immigrants here in San Diego. 75% of them don't like the cold winters in the Midwest and Northeast.

So, they don't like the cold huh?

Again, they lied to you

Arrests of illegals up 500% in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming

Arrests of illegal aliens increased by more than 500 percent last year in a three- state area - Colorado, Utah and Wyoming - after more federal agents were put in the field. Five Quick Response Teams were added in rural Colorado by the Immigration and Naturalization Service in October 1999.

The move swelled the number of alien workers arrested in the INS's Denver district that includes all three states.

In 1999, the INS arrested 920 aliens in the three states. Last year, the number of arrests jumped to 5,276, including 4,167 by the response teams

I live in CT and we are getting them all over the place. Most are from South America not Mexico. I ask them myself about the weather. They mostly just shrug their shoulders and say, "It's not so bad."

I think there's no reversing this demographic trend and its political consequences.

I just sent the link up to my sister, who recently escaped So. Cal to move up to the Hayden Lake area in July. They wanted to give my blonde haired, blue eyed nephew a chance in public schools.

No were in the West is immune from the Aztlan infestation, or their arrogant "demands" that the schools (or otherwise) must address the "minority" needs of these hostiles.

At least 90 illegal immigrants who were working at the T.J. Maxx distribution center in Pittston Township Pennsylvania were in this country illegally, the township police chief said the federal government discovered.

And officials from U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service haven't finished checking the 700 employee records agents confiscated from the distribution center about a month ago, Chief Stephen Rinaldi said at the township supervisors' meeting Monday night.

It's not an exclusively western problem. Iowa, Nebraska, and most of the midwest are being infected by the hordes of criminals from mexico and central america.

Ah yes, I stand corrected!

My good friend in the tri-state area of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky told me her oldest son in high school is taking a Spanish class, because he wants to apply to nursing school when he graduates...he'll be paid more to be bilingual as a new grad.

Amazing.

You're right ---- look at Chicago --- it gets pretty cold but there is a large chunk of Mexico already moved in up there.

IF all of the Mexicans in California vote for the Mexican candidate, California will have a Mexican governor...

That's the whole problem. Bustamante is no different than the kind of politicians they elected back in Mexico. They vote in Marxists whether they're back home or here ---- Bustamante is a great example of what they'll do to this country, and proof they care nothing for the US Constitution.

That's one reason why so many stay in California and Arizona,

It's true many want to stay near their homeland --- but that doesn't explain why so many are in Chicago, Michigan, NY and other cold places. Chicago is one of the biggest Mexican cities.

I'd be offended that the subtle message here is they're incapable of learning English

Most Americans will learn more Spanish in a 2-week course just to take a vacation to Mexico than most Mexicans will learn of English after 20-30 years of living in the USA. It's difficult to understand why they resist learning English as much as they do.

Yup, that would be my neighborhood. When I first moved into my apartment complex five years ago, the surrounding neighborhood was mostly white. Now the surrounding area is mostly Hispanic. I feel like I live a miniaturized version of Mexico.

I live in a small town in NY and suffered the same experience in our local Walmart with two employees speaking so loud I thought I was in another country.>>>>>>

Hi from "small town" TX.......We have a Wal-Mart & also a WM warehouse in our area, in the last ten yrs. "hispanic" employees has gone to at least 50%. Many don't speak English, hence many bi-lingual managers.

Yet, Wal-Mart will ONLY hire high school grads. Many here wondering just HOW Wal-Mart *verifies* so many foreign diplomas ?? Another *rumor* as to why hispanics have replaced many AMERICANS at Wal-Mart is that the Co. saves much money on insurance, as most hispanics don't sign up for any insurance they have to PAY for.

After spending 20 min. on an "over-charge" (made by spanish-speaking employee) I requested some ENGLISH ONLY check-outs @ our local WM, but I haven't seen them yet.

Why is it so hard to understand that to live in another country, one must assimilate that language and culture or find limited success.

Because most Mexican Nationals despise America for one reason or another yet love our money and welfare. Now that they have critical mass in numbers they can shamelessly demand all kinds of special freebies on the dime of American Taxpayers KNOWING that our Traitorous Politicians will give em' whatever they want. Our government's open weakness in catering to every whim of this Illegal Lot and inability to halt their Invasion of OUR Country only encourages them to act even more brazen.

It's just a matter of time before America becomes balkanized out of existence.

What was it that Thomas Jefferson said about needing a revolution every few generations to keep the republic healthy?

It's LONG OVERDUE.

I will agree with that. However, as I observe the cheerleaders and two party groupies swooning over these so-called leaders, that are actually advocating this insanity, I don't think it's likely.

I walked out of a Walgreen's last year, leaving my potential purchases on the counter because the guy ringing me up didn't speak English and couldn't understand a question I had asked.

Good for you. I have done the same thing. It's time we break this down. Yes, illegal immigration is a problem, a large problem. It alone will not be the ruin of the United States though. What will, what actually is destroying this country is that there is a parallel culture being formed. No longer are we a melting pot we have an entire separate pot with its own burner. There is no incentive to learn the language, customs or culture in a country that will allow you to interact your entire lifetime in your native language. From the voting booth to the ATM booth, our government and US corporations support the divide.

I am not nearly as hostile as some are about the illegal immigration problem and various solutions that have been proposed. But I am over the top hostile about the destruction of the very thing that was said to make this country great.

I think my 75% number is screwed up by sampling error. The Mexicans who stay in San Diego are more likely to dislike cold weather than the general Mexican population....that's why they're still in San Diego. I don't know what's going on everywhere else in the country, but we sure have a big immigration problem here. This is causing big budget problems especially with all the bloated administrative and overhead costs that are layered on top of the cost of educating each child. Our state government is going bankrupt because of illegal immmigration and bloated government overhead costs, especially all the legal costs for rediculous lawsuits and workers compensation.
