Hispanics Largest Growing Population In Idaho

By Associated Press
BOISE -
Idaho's Hispanic population grew three times faster than the state as a whole in the first two years after the last census.
Leaders of the state's largest minority say that puts more pressure on public schools.
According to new estimates from the Census Bureau, the state grew at three-point-two percent overall from mid-2000 to mid-2002, with the Hispanic population jumping ten-point-six percent. Only 13 other states saw higher percentage growth in their Hispanic groups.
Gladys Esquibel, who heads the state Commission on Hispanic Affairs, says schools must change to address the needs of Hispanic students. The latest results from the state standards achievement tests show that more than half of Hispanic high school sophomores failed.

Considering that Idaho has a small population, it will be easy for the state to turn into a Hispanic-majority state in 10 years.

This should be interesting.

If something as ghastly as 9/11 didn't stir the masses to march on Washington with pitch-forks and torches, demanding the control and defense of our own borders, I don't think anything will. Not smallpox, not car bombs, not even exploding shopping malls...nothing. The GOP is too scared that someone will call them mean names if they try to propose taking control of the borders.

How many of them are illegals? Maybe they're there doing the jobs Americans refuse to do. [/sarcasm]"When I lived in Idaho, there were an average of 6,000 illegal Mexicans coming into Idaho every month.
At first, farmers hired them to work in the farm fields to do the backbreaking work of thinning and hoeing sugar beets and onions that can only be done satisfactorily by hand. They lived in what I'd consider absolute squalor, but instead of going back to Mexico after the season was over, they just decided to stay. Now, they come flocking in and no one seems to be able to stop them.
I witnesses a large Mexican lady come barging into a courtroom in Idaho while a hearing before a judge was in progress and said something to the judge that I couldn't hear. The judge pulled out his billfold and handed her several multi-denominational bills which she took and walked out.
I still wonder just what the (bleep!) is going on there.

The latest results from the state standards achievement tests show that more than half of Hispanic high school sophomores failed. Half the mexicans are failing in their second year... I have friends in ID-hoe, it is NOT because the schools in Idaho are lacking in any way. If the mexicans are failing it is because the mexicans FAILED. No other reason and no change is necessary on the part of the schools.

Only 13 other states saw higher percentage growth in their Hispanic groups. Notice the focus on percentage. If you have 10 hispanics and add 10 more, that is a 100% increase. I want to see the absolute numbers. The bad news in Idaho is that almost 1/3 of the population receives some kind of government assistance. I don't know how much of that figure covers "native americans" living on the reservations.

Take a look at the exit exam results in just about every state. The kids are failing miserably. The teachers unions are lobbying to defer the requirement to pass the exams. They don't like being under the microscope. There is a consequence for shifting your focus from academic achievement to agitprop, self-esteem, day care and feeding programs. The public schools are a very expensive failure.

Sounds like he forgot to leave money for his cleaning lady.

Conspiracy just sounds better.

Agreed. "Conspiracy" is definitely juicier.

I counted 18 employees at our local Target store yesterday, the majority young, speaking Spanish and unable to assist shoppers because they spoke no English! I live in a small town in NY and suffered the same experience in our local Walmart with two employees speaking so loud I thought I was in another country. I was outraged and found myself shouting "Welcome to America, now speak English" which was met with heads bobbing in agreement. I sought out the Manager and asked how it was possible these people spoke no English (how they filled out their applications is beyond me) yet were placed on the floor to assist customers. He said they were simply stock clerks and were not there to offer assistance.
Too many of us are turning a blind eye and growing accustomed to a telephone recording asking us to "press one for English or two for Spanish". Why? If I were of Spanish origin I'd be offended that the subtle message here is they're incapable of learning English and therefore are offered options immigrants before them did not benefit from.
If enough of us complain that we should adopt an ENGLISH ONLY policy, we might be able to save what was.

This is being repeated here in the Bay Area; at JCPenney's some of the clerk's actually count out the change in Spanish.
Next time, I'm going to take my change, walk over to the floor manager and demand the entire transaction be re-done in English. Return each item, credit my account and then charge it. When I receive my bill I will then write a letter to accompany the payment and explain why it appears as it does.
Perhaps if we all begin adding a letter to every company with whom we have accounts that we want all employees versed in English, that we want all transactions conducted in English or we will no longer do business with their stores, it might begin making a difference. We also want stock people who understand and speak English, as we want to be certain we are being charged correctly - in essence if we cannot trust the employee, we cannot trust the store management.
If it begins making a dent in the bottom line, it should bring about policy changes.

Like I said before Brother, you can run but you can't hide from this epic invasion of millions.
Check this like out. It basically states that the illegals are entering through gateway states such as Arizona, Cal and Texas and THEN HEADIING INLAND.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/984527/posts
Of course to those of us that follow this closely, we have *known* this for some years now.
Only so many labor jobs, handouts, affordable housing, etc, etc can be had in Arizona, Cal and Texas. That's why states like Idaho, North Carolina, Tennessee, Washington State, Colorado, etc etc, etc are becoming inundated with these people.
Trust me, this titanic invasion of millions have moved far beyond the southwest....
If you like, I can show many more current article to back this up.
Again, you can thank the Federal Government for this immigration madness!
Good luck......

So, what are you doing at WalMart? It's an anti-American company. They have foreign products and foreign employees. They hate you, and only want your money.
So stop going there.
