"The experiences we have encountered and what we consider to be the failings of the private property rights laws supposedly designed to protect citizens in these takings of private property, will be the subject of a book we are in the process of writing..."May they have success with this book.
FWIW: "Nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation."...U.S. Constitution, Amendment five.

The term "public use" has been redefined and "just compensation" has been redefined as "just barely compensate". The compensation is not determined by the property owner so future use doesn't count.
We actually had a magistrate tells us our developement plans were pie in the sky. They valued the land at about 15 thousand an acre. We have since gotten contracts signed valuing the land starting at $250,000.
This has to do with demografics concerning traffic flow, average income within a 5 mile radius and development of water/sewage etc. that will benefit the whole county.
The land is a very large tract that up until now has been under agricultural set aside. Lots of frontage etc.....
