Winds are 20 mph sustained with 30 mph gusts right now here in Richmond. The rain is getting worse. I'm thinking it's getting to be time to get the heck out of Dodge and head on home.

Howl, my son is in Washington, just east of Raleigh. I have not been able to reach him since the day before yesterday..

You can say that again. I can't believe how much the wind and rain have picked up in the past 30 min. Raining sideways here.
Thank God my son found our little stray kitten that has adopted us and brought her in the garage. She looked like a drowned rat.
