I live just to the west of Front Royal on the east slope of the Massanutten. So far so good, just 0.70 inches of rain in 4 hours. North winds 20, gusts 35. Cable modem still works!

Just talked to friends at Manassas, VA. Light to moderate winds, some rain; "nothing to report."
Here, we had a glorious orange-red sunset. The wx for rain "petered out" as the clouds dissipated.
Air is fresh. RADAR shows stuff, but there is really no wind to measure.

The wind is really picking up here in northern New Jersey, but the rain is very light.
Inland flooding is a major concern here because it's been such a wet summer -- all of the rivers in the Delaware, Raritan, Passaic, and Hackensack river basins are running higher than normal, and the soil won't retain any additional moisture because it is already saturated.
