Things are far worse today in my reconing. Perhaps those who remember the 70s better will disagree with me, but I don't remember the cycle of death being as ingraned then as it is today. They've really honed death and destruction to a state of the art project. These homicide bombings are so alien to me.

Instead we have a sick culture that has developed an insane belief that if enough Jews are killed then maybe the rest will leaveIt's not insane.
If enough Jews are killed, the rest WILL leave.

They have raised and brainwashed two entire generations seething with hate while never accepting the responsibilty of their actions themselves since then. The Arab world, in my mind, has used them as pawns, supported and egged on their bloody right of self determination (towards the goal of destroying Isreal) all the while disowning them and spitting in their faces.
They should either turn their anger towards true self determination, rebuilding and becoming productive or towards those that truly betrayed them.
I just don't see that ever happening in this generation. Isreal is the most forgiving and restrained nation on God's green earth considering what they face day to day, not to mention world opinion and considering what they could actually do. It's going to be a hell of a sight if and when their hearts turn cold.
I see a much larger force than the USA holding back Isreal's hand.

Don't worry, I suffer from that same brain damage from time to time, and feel like a real idiot when I do it.

Well you may be right. I sure wouldn't be patient any longer. If we are pressuring them I think it's unconcionable.
To: DoughtyOne
If we are pressuring them, and we are, it is extremely hypocritical. However, this administration still has the responsibility to do what is in our own country's interest. Having ALL hell break loose there before Iraq is more stabilized, would be very detrimental. I believe this administration very much factored in Israel's interest and the bigger picture when we went into Iraq.
I hate this for their sake and I pray for them. I think they are doing the right thing by going after Hamas and should continue. Hamas is starting to cry uncle again, don't stop! I think the wall should go up and they should tell us to pound sand and shove our loan guaratees. Maybe not in so many words. Just please don't go all tactical yet. But if they do, they do. I certainly won't judge them.

Once again, I agree. Take care.

You strangely forgot to include the pandering of the U.S. State Department personalities who give aid and comfort to the PLO and pokes The Jewish Nation in the eye. One dimentional I guess!

They now talk about expelling Arafat but leaving the Palestinian Authority in place, as though installing a new Godfather will make the Mafia less of a criminal organization.

I see that my America is but the manifestation of and an extension of that Force's Great and Good Power.
