The way I see it, there is a difference between a German-American club/Irish-American club and a Caucasian-American club.
I've been to Oktober Fest but I've never been to Caucasian Fest.
I go to St Patrick's Day celebrations but I've never been to St Caucasian Patron's parties.
Hispanics are made up of all races, therefore only a strong bond dealing with language, religion, and music can sustain an ethnic club for Hispanics; the same can be said about German-Americans and Greek-Americans, for instance.
Every year I go to the local Greek-American festival about the local Greek Orthodox Church, and I know what to expect.
I wonder what a Caucasian-American festival at a local Caucasian-American church will look like.

It'll be great! Balony sandwiches on white bread, Yankee Pot Roast, you know, all those ethnic foods. (Ethnic to me cuz I go home to beans and torillas.)
Alright Lisa! You go, girl!

Idiot!
You'll never go to a Kwansaa party in Africa either.
There are no warm fuzzy 'relationships' between Hutu and Tutsi in Rwanda, between Ibo and whomever in Nigeria, or between Bushmen and Zulu, and on and on and on....
There is no reason why Brits and Serbs should not be included in a larger entity - it's called inclusion (rather than diversity).
Since African-American and "hispanic" are geographic descriptions, she might have gone for 'euro-Americans' but we don't get that option on our census forms.
And by the way:
"caucasian" includes a bunch of people you'd not imediately identify as "white".

What about the mixed Caucasians who have no identity with Germany? They aren't allowed in the black or hispanic clubs, they wouldn't fit in with groups dealing with Irish culture.

I know a lot of Hispanics who don't speak Spanish --- so I don't think it's language, plus many are atheists and Protestants so it's not religion and to me Mexican corridas and mariachis don't sound much like Puerto Rican salsas or Colombian cumbias and none sound like Julio Iglesias.
