Funny. I know a Black woman who votes GOP (and hates affirmative action) but keeps it secret from her family because she's afraid they'll disown her.

*nod* What I mistakenly left out of my initial post -- about the 2 gay men I know who quietly are staunch Republican voters -- is that in many ways, other than politics anyway, they can be rather stereotypical gays, particularly in that they are really effeminate. Not screaming camp, but way being milquetoast. So it just goes to show that masculinity isn't always the "push" for GOP support.
