Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band perfored at Fed Ex Field last weekeend, and between classic numbers like 'Born to Run' the boss got political.
At one point he said he welcomes fans of all ideological persuations to his concerts, 'with the exception of Vice President Dick Cheney. I'm not sure about him,' he told the crowd.
Later Springsteen said President Bush ought to be impeached and started chanting, 'impeach, impeach.'
But the call was not picked up by the mulitiude, some of whom even began to boo.

We need to fire the Boss

I think it's the extreme guilt of supporting a real lying/criminal that sold out our country.
Bush's actions and lack of constant personal scandal is rubbing their faces in the consequences of their actions.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers Fridays. Michael Richards was hysterical as that hipster doofus character at the beach in a Speedo and dress shoes.
As for "The Boss": He may have been born in the USA, but he certainly doesn't need to die here too. Leave any time, pal.

'with the exception of Vice President Dick Cheney. I'm not sure about him,' he told the crowd. Yep, Cheney is way too much of a grown-up for little Brucie to handle. Considering Springsteen's constant railing against authority - specifically, his own father - in his music, it's not surprising in the least that an adult that exudes the authority of Cheney would be the object of Brucie's wrath.

I detest this trend by entertainers to bring politics into their shows, and I'd hate it just the same if musicians were touting Bush or bashing Democrats in their concerts. After all, the idea that "everything is political" is ultimately a Leftist slogan, and I have always despised that mentality.

I've been thinking about this loser & how right after 9/11 he started that horrible celebrity concert with the song, "My City's in Ruins".
More liberal negativity. The city wasn't in ruins & won't be unless a dem gets in to the White House in '04.
To: suas
Oh yea, another celebrity baby boomer spewing out idiocy's. When I vote for George Bush again, I'll be thinking of them.
